Well, you'd have to ask the customer on that. This is a part that they built the tooling for and programmed. There are several good reasons to use an in-seam weave, not sure why they are using it, but maybe they just liked the "overlapping dimes" look ;-)
There are several theories on that topic. Some say we are an advanced alien race, some that we are only the representatives of the computer that runs the world now, but I'll just say its because we all studied hard and didn't do drugs...Stay in school kids! Oh, and just say "No"
