I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps fuel inj. and tank clean and rustfree
Wrong. Assuming by your etc. You're clearly misinformed. The Gumpert Apollo clearly walks over the zr1 and the viper by 11 second+. You want to compare apples to oranges so be it.
@pipthemakem - Yes, the cat is still in place. Pretty sure you're thinking of the E46 M3s though, they have a raspy exhaust note from the factory that the E36 M3s did not have.
jesus christ that is amazing... it sounds so deep... beautiful, i want my '95 E36 convertible to perform like that, lol :D i need to take care of mine better....
+1 its like people dont understand that in front of the car you hear the intake and in back you hear the exhaust, there's almost no exhaust noise from the front and visa versa for the intake from the back, best example is look up a supercharged car flyby... deafeningly loud whine coming at you and nothing once it's past.
nice sound, but the m3's are known for its original sound, something you cant even out of another car, if i were to change mufflers, it would be the dinan.
That's nice, but Dinan is really all that great... I respect what they do and their performance modifications are warranty'd by BMW. However they are horribly overpriced, especially their exhaust which is known to be just the OE one with a couple of internal baffles cut out and then they charge over 1k+ for it...
haha then the firebird right next to the camera man...id like to see a race between a V6 firebird and that bmw...now i only have the 325i so i dont know much performance wize about the M3 of that year, so it would most likly smoke the f-bird but idk id like to see it.
100% 325i

I guess the people who never had anything decent still have that stereotypic handling thing going on from the 60's.
Too bad american car dominates the nurburgring laptimes over BMWs porsches lamborghinis etc.

@Alesssandro10 - That's a Conforti intake on a 3.5" Euro HFM.

I don't understand why they didn't just roll on to the highway and do it, all I really hear is intake.

I love the look of this exhaust but its too quiet..
May be going on my turbo M3 when I build it though, at least the tips
blackXSpr 3 years ago
It's going to be even quieter on a turbo car... If you want loud, go with Rogue or B&B.
bmwpowere36m3 3 years ago
with straight pipes and cats im not too worried though; but im not sure i want an extremely loud noise of what im hearing now.
