Well, no, see, it really doesn't. When you go into what you know is a fake battle with fake weapons with no intention of killing and knowing that your opponent also has no intention of killing, then you're not really experiencing "the thrill of mortal battle." You're experiencing thrill of pretending to engage in mortal battle.
@TarnDarkBlade72 I'm not dissing the Foam Weapon League. It looks like fun for spectators - like having dinner while watching "mortal combat" at a Medieval Times restaurant. As for the "warriors," well, imagine the neighbor kids playing war in the park with their plastic guns. Are those kids "experiencing "the thrill of mortal comat?" Not really. Moammar Gaddafi experienced the thrill of mortal combat, not the FWL actors.
@foamweaponleague .. . . so . . . its dogbrothers, but with kids that dont actually know any martial arts . .. and playing some fantasy game instead of actually trying combat. lame.
U know the whole idea from the very beginning of the LARP crap was to hit ur opponents to score points, i'm surprised no one was able to think up of this sport.
It's simple people.. seriously It's all about fighting, u score points by hitting ur opponents with ur weapon and then once ur oponent has been eliminated then you win. God..
