best fielder ever... and ive seen my fair share. id say better then jonty rhodes, if only by a little.

@jawsboris72 He was better than Johnty so was Punter but he's getting on now, Johntys arm & catching ability let's him down but his ground fielding would be better than Symonds & Ponting's, those two Jontey and H Gibbs are my favs to watch

@dosh228 Yes Rhodes isn't all that good in comparison to players today, but you have to rate him against the players of his time. Cricket was still a little bit slower then and fielding wasn't taken as seriously, but now it is and everybody trains in it almost as much as batting and bowling, particularly guys like Symonds where that's his major strength. Rhodes was so far ahead of his era it wasn't funny. But yes Symonds and Ponting can make a run out from nothing whereas Rhodes couldn't.
