New > 8x8 > Zoom to max view > Make it transparent .
Turn the airbrush into a pencil > Set to 1 pixel > put it to the color you want.
Make a line in the middle > Edit > Define Pattern
Done. if you want them closer together you can go into pattern overlay and control how big they are... Or if you want a different color, Just use a different color when making the pattern

You can do it that way but you can't change the colors if you do.

In all honesty... It takes the same amount of time... If not less... do it the same way you do it... but save it as a pattern... >.>
But this way you can control how much space is in between the lines.
