This film is actually MABEL AT THE WHEEL (aka: A HOT FINISH). Chaplin wears the same costume in this as he did in MAKING A LIVING though. He is basically playing Ford Sterling. Haha.
Wow freaky, same thing I call it (the Instant Gratification generation thing)
Thanks you just gave me a small ray of hope for this world now that I know I'm not the only one saying what's wrong with it (this goes for anyone else enjoying this real piece of entertainment)
I think the exact same thing of this nation. Apparently we are not alone; there are probably more people out there with the same point of view than we realize.
Yeah, and I believe a very early Keystone (look at his costume & make-up!) at that! I don't have any references here in front of me, but I think the title was, "Mabel at the Wheel", featuring,of course, the wonderful Mabel Normand, and Charlie's rival was played by an actor named, I believe, Harry McCoy. The date would probably be 1914-- Chaplin's first-year in pictures, and at Keystone. Almost a century-old, and probably funnier than what's playing at the latest cineplex now! R.J.
Thank you so much for posting this. I am a huge Chaplin fan, and I've never seen this. I'm guessing it's Keystone? Anyway, thanks. I've been checking out the other vids you posted, and I'm sooo subscribing. 5 Stars!
