The chickens that we buy at the super market are broilers, white, and the beeks are cut. This chicken is clearly brown and has a uncut beek. The hen is also not an industrial egg layer because the beek would have been cut as well. This was some one pet that escaped.

I used to have a pet chick and he was nuts. He would peep all night long. We got him while we were on vacation, so we had to get rid of him (we gave him to a caring owner) just a few weeks after we got back.

One time, we had him in a small box so he wouldn't get lost or poop on the hotel floor. After many tries, he managed to knock the box over, walk out of it and poop on the floor.

It's good to have chickens: They eat the ticks from the grass. Their poop fertilizes the ground/grass. They are good companions. They spas out if you give them a little alcohol so give it to them in small amounts you know if they like it like mine did. You get free and fresh eggs. (Mine actually made pink eggs you know!) :D I loved my chicken until the stupid fox got her.

Lovely little hen, I have 2 of that breed as well...and funny all of my chickens love to come up to our back deck to visit us and yes they poop all over it. They also sit on our Adirondack chairs, it's so cute! (messy but cute, we just hose things down later.
