It seems Im pretty young in Thai's view but as a part of thai people, I really see no points why political problems would cause a BIG change and conflict among Thai people, who once had been BROTHERHOOD.. Now not only political dispute, but also the honor beloved king of my country was PULLED down to get involved in the problem as one of the OBSTACLE to stop Thailand from developing...

thai people ( I mean a lot of them ) look down on Lao people as Ban Nok or stupid people, they are ver arogant to the Nth degree. I went to Bangkok a few years ago, Thai hotel front desk wonder if I know how to use elevator, come on ! man ! I came to America 30 years ago, had master degree in the US, still if this Lao is smart as Thai to know how to operate elevator !

Yes, it can not be ignored. Thai invaded Lao. Stole and destroyed many of Lao people's historical and icons. Also, not just Thailand but their very own government as well. Poverty & poor educated , I do agree. Whom to blame? It's their exploited government. They have been open/shut door for decades up until now. They see that by open up their door will bring money to the country which I love to see that but the down side is, the rich will benefit from it and poor will remain poor.

The majority of the Siam's held views toward Lao in Laos and Lao people living in abroad is that they are stupid people. I traveled to visit my relatives in Warin. I checked in to stay at Hotel in Bangkok and was asked by a hotel front desk staff because he was wondering whether I may know how to fill out a hotel form. I felt outraged. He is an illiterate person. Come on, with having earned a terminal degree in an academic field, can he fill out a very basic information for a hotel form?
