  • I've got the Powell RIP in ink!

  • skateboarding was rebellious back then, totally different vibe than it is now

  • Classic!

  • Dug out my dad's old Powell Peralty board from im thinking the late 70's-early 80's.

Cleaning it up, giving it a new set of wheels, bearings and probably some new trucks and will work just like new as my first skateboard

  • @sindiewen NO. THAT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!

  • that creeped the shit outta me

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • does powell-peralte company still exist?

  • BONEITE

  • my lastname is peralta hehe thats one of the mane reasons i wanna pp board

  • im gonna get a pp board

  • all I remember is that the skate shop was always sold out of the shirts until Powell glutted the market and somehow managed to uncool a lot of things. Enough of the negative, however... Stecyck (sp?) did a great job.

  • I used to own the old white fishtail powell team board, haha the old rob roskopff evil pickle deck, ray underhills silver fishtail with the chain and cross.......man the classics i had that i put through hell smashing, sliding till the nose and tail were literally non existant and chipped...and getting the new monthly issues of THRASHIN and TRANSWORLD, immediatly flipping to the back and wanting every deck on those black and white pages with MISFITS and DK adds. im glad i was part of all this.

  • I remember my jaw dropping the first time I saw this.

  • love this!!!!!!!

  • KLASSIC!

  • TakingItInTheassIsMyLife should be your name!

  • Deff Powell....

  • you fail, utterly totally fail...

You just insulted one of the greatest skateboard companies that ever existed. They weren't a table or furniture company, they were a very successful skate company in the late '70's, '80's, and early '90's. They sponsored famous skaters like Rodney Mullen, Steve Cabellero, and Tony Hawk.

And it was run by the legendary Stacy Peralta.

  • and george powell

  • @thenewpunkrockkid hahaha, yes they were the absolute pinnacle of cool in the early-mid 80's. But I think that in the early 90's they kind of insulted themselves, forgive me for saying so...

  • @thenewpunkrockkid Dude that was the company that got tony to the top and has been around for over 30 years

  • sk8 or die

  • Comment removed
