as an aussie born who grew up in nz from 3 months to 13yrs this sent shivers down my spine as i remember being taught this in school.i surprised myself after a couple of goes at the lrics i could still prononce them correctly.i am now 60.your singing is magic.keep it up

I was in London feeling very homesick, I stood in the tube and started singing this waiata, about 10 kiwi's within ear shot came and stood beside my and we sung our lungs out. Needless to say I brought a ticket back to Aotearoa. You sing it beautifully and its a song we can all identify with...thanks for the memories.

I am a Brit, i absolutely love this song and am trying my hardest to learn it. Yours is by far my favourite so far as it is the clearest pronunciation I have heard yet. I dont think i will be putting my version up when I finaly learn it, my old voice is too croaky nowadays :-).

I'm gonna be honest with you, as this song was written by a great grand uncle of mine (distant but relative none the less) if you made any mistakes, I didn't hear them.
