Yeah, I used him for the text gags as an after thought. The entire bit was an after thought really cause I couldn't think of any decent back ground music for the opening scene with Spike and Jet.
How can you be such a lazy bastard, yet be so vigilant when it comes to this?
You're up til dawn, sleeping til the mid-afternoon. You don't bother to fix spelling mistakes, even if you catch them before uploading. Yet in regard to this, simply choosing the background music, you put so much thought and effort.
Keanu reeves isn't the worst actor in the world, he is a bad actor, but not the worst, I would rather drag the cast and crew of the last 3 star wars movies (episode 3 in particular) or uwe boll before the world court before keanu reeves.
What I actually do worry has nothing to do with Keanu actually, he's just a convenient scape goat, but I'm just not at all optomistic that the holywood process is capable of doing Bebop justice.
What they've done time and again is transform (you see what I did there?) an already popular franchise into a flanderized piece of crap that appeals only to the lowest common denominator in the name of capitalism. I think Bebop deserves better.
I read that Cowboy Bebop's original creator will be involved in the creation of this movie, so it might be be good. And I'm not sure it would be acurate to gauge how successful this will be off of DragonBall: I mean, DragonBall was just a concept that would not work in live action unless you got some insane good-devoted director. Cowboy Bebop's content is a bit more down to Earth realistic.
It is Bebop's gritty psudo-noir/realism, among other things, that makes it awesome.
Can Bebop make a brilliant live action movie, certainly. Am I optomistic holywood can pull it off?... N-no. Not even with Shinichiro's involvement really. A movie is so much larger in scope than an anime and... Well, at least in this case, I hope I'm wrong.
And that's what sad about a lot of these animes being turned into movies: many cetainly can and would make amazing movies. I guess you just need the right people attatched instead of someone that's only looking for a cash-in.
I'm sorry Unwardil but you're not quite egotistical enough to make a good George Stormdapolice impression.

When it doubt, use Scryed.
... at least it's worked for me on a number of occasions.

Ah but see, I dont like to use BGM at all if it isn't also a joke about something. Personal preferance of course.

Bad actors? Or SHIT franchises created by SHIT heads who'd be hideous-looking otaku-tachi if they didn't have the gumption?

Yes, see, that was sort of the joke, that everyone is really kind of flipping out before he's even had the chance to fail.
Unwardil 2 years ago
well I am willing to give anything a chance... until it actually comes out at least.
