I have an EXTREME fear of swimming pool drains lights and jets and things like that. Sometimes i wont even go inside the pool but to me even with that fear i have no problem with them without water
@etek3paintball I have a fear of swimming pool drains, I can't even swim over them! :-( and empty swimming pools give me the creeps but they're kind of interesting to look at if that makes sense lol!
@etek3paintball its called an accumilator if thats how u spell it lol, was desighned to top the pool up with rain water from outside, was to help keep the pool cost efficiant
I sense that possibly for some people the fear of empty pools--especially large, extra deep, ceramic tile-lined public indoor ones like the example shown in this video could potentially cause some of them to imagine they're in maybe the circumstance of perhaps a hamster or rat walking around in the bottom of a large empty porcelain-lined bath tub, making them in some way feel like they're at the potential mercy of an unseen giant human who could turn on an enormous waterfall-capacity spigot and
Good video, I used to go there when I was a child in the 90's and I remember the water always being very cold. I was told this was something to do with the professional swimmers!
Used to go there a few years back with school. It was built a few milimeters short and thus did not comply with the olympic requirements. By my understanding someone went to prison over it. Shame.
I was part of the campaign to save this iconic building, there was nothing but limp excuses from the council who were determined to kill the place off! It`s now going to be replaced by a car park! Tragic
The reason they closed this pool was because they were going to build a new one elsewhere. The pool wasen't wide enough to be considered an Olympic size pool. It was about one lane short to be an olympic pool. The leeds that swam in this pool were not very happy to have it close down.
The black lines always scare me!
