I dont understand why the UC doesnt kick them off their property. Its the University's property and as i would understand it, they hippies are breaking the law by trespassing. If you want to save the trees, get jobs, earn money and buy the land.

Telling people what to do with their land is pretty hypocritical.

the UC is gonna plant 3 trees for every one cut down, and even if they weren't, it's their property to do as they please with. If I had an oak tree in my backyard and I wanted to build a home gym, It's no one's business but my own. Screw the hippies and save berkeley
