This is so 90's sounding. I would give both of my testicles to be able to go back just for 1 day. 90's were sacred times. Music was awesome, games were awesome, TV shows were awesome, the economy was good, Clinton was banging Monica, the sun just seemed to shine a bit brighter you know what im saying.
Holy shit this brings me waaaay back. I miss the 90's. FUCK THIS DECADE. Fuck Jersey Shore. Fuck Lil Wayne. I want Doug, Sega, and Saturday morning cartoons back.
I agree with "izdagrimeyone" i used to own this game when i was a child this was the last game i played before my sega was tooken away from me!!! :( it still brings back memories when i was a kid. Boy i wish i still had my sega genesis again!
So I go fishing in my toy chest earlier this month for a multi-voltage/amped adapter (the cord on the one for my Swiffer Sweep-N-Vac broke so I luckily had that to replace it). Inside the chest, whaddya know . . . my Sega Genesis (first console I ever had!) sittin' pretty inside, with Comix Zone still in the game slot. That was definitely the last game I ever played on that system before moving on to my PSOne and the nostalgia just killed me when I opened that chest up! ^_^
i was 6 years old when i was playin this game non stop from christmas day onwards for a good couple years im almost 21 now and i fucking love the fact i owned this game LONG LIVE SEGA!
@adriansowavey i was the same age and would go non stop, to the point id piss my cousin off when wed play lol im 20 still got it still play it haha lol
Wow . . . haven't heard this in more than a decade and I remembered virtually all of it. As the last Genesis game I acquired, the nostalgia brought on by hearing this theme and the Title Screen's has definitely eased the pain of not smoking marijuana for more than a month now. Big ups Renegade, keep doin' da damn thing!
Great song from an awesome game... my all-time favorite for Genesis. Everyone who likes this EPIC game and particularly this song, there's something I'd like you to check out. Just click my video response at the top (Comix Zone Theme (rock version) ;) Thanks
@YeyJordan I kinda disagree. The soundtrack is great, but the quality of music was typical of the US developed games and not the soundboard's fault (X-Men 1+2, Chakan, Cyborg Justice, etc). Very twangy (though I still loved it). Plenty of games had much higher quality than this. Sonic the Hedgehog 1+2, Sword of Vermilion, Ristar, Streets of Rage 1+2, Mega Turrican). This soundboard takes a lot of flak, but I think we got a much wider variety of sounds from it compared to competing consoles
@TheKrustaceox lol, it was just a joke. You said that everyone must had this game.I was wondering that if you didn't had a mega drive you had to have it too. And I don't need emulators to buy this game since it came with Sonic Mega Collection +. But yeah, I use emulators because I don't have old consoles, but I like playing old games.
Back in my day we had game like this... no saves fuck a memory card it wasnt even invented yet.... if you died tough shit... start from scratch bitch and we did and like it
@izdagrimeyone damn dude so true tell me about it, memory cards help when the game is like 100 levels long(toe jam and earl lol) but youre right i enjoyed starting from the beginning it taugh you patience and true skill instead of relying on a memory card. Added to the thrill especially when you would finally beat the game, i remember just yellin yeaaahhh i won!!!! lol
When you go to a new episode and lose a life, you get to continue at the start of that episode. You only get one though. That's what I've found playing the PAL version.
@TheTKC It's called a YMF262 and in no way does it resemble flatulance in any way. The Genesis has a distinctive "Raspy, Gritty" sound to it that some may consider "fart guitar".
Just played this one for the first time last night; missed it the first time around since I was an SNES kid. The gameplay definately holds up after all these years, it's not one of those older games where you really had to play it at the time to appreciate it.
And the tunes! Now we know where Kurt's soul went after he died, into this cartridge! This and Maximum Carnage are the pinnacles of 16-Bit RAWK.
only thing that sucks about this game...when u get to the next page ur health is still the same and u have one life and no continues and plus ur health decreases when ure hitting metal or a wall or a barrel or somethin...besides that this game is fantastic...
Earthworm Jim 2 was the shit though . . . I never played the original though so I can't speak on it (heard it was hard as hell, though). Of course Sonic 2 FTW, and Sonic & Knuckles was ill (Sonic 3 was tight, too, but I never got to explore it cuz I only rented it).
