  • Let me try to give a REAL usefull advice: if you encounter a sudden uphill and you did not manage to shift gear soon enough, you may still try to save the situation by using the speed you still have and accelerating a bit more if possible and in the split second after you push the pedal you can have enough momentum to quickly shift gear. The thing is that you can shift only if you don't push the pedals, so you can sometimes manage it even in uphills if you choose the right time to accelerate.

  • Is this video meant for the retards who ride an MTB for the first time in their life? :) What a great advice - shifting before you get to the hill. LOL I expected you to tell me some tips how to shift gear when I am ALREADY in the uphill and it is usually too late to do this, but you just surprised me with this genious advice for total noobs :-]

  • Too late for shifting? LOL, you blow down the hill or the flat so you'll have max speed approaching the climb and you downshift as you start to climb the hill and again as necessary while on the hill. This video is totally useless.
