I remember that crazy day very well. Every tree within a mile got a good workout with all the wind and pounding rain.... a few of them didn't make it and ended up as wood chips. There should have been a gathering to honor and generate donations for the trees.
I think you did catch it. You can see debris flying past at about the 10 sec mark. From 10 to 30 seconds you seem to be "in it". This one seems to be more of what they call a "low wedge" tornado instead of the "funnel" type.
Your lucky nothing went through that window. I guess a lot of people were lucky that way.
This actually looks like a microburst, not a tornado. The tornado, very possibly, was not far from where this video was taken, but the tornado was NOT captured in this video.
It's a good thing that the cars didn't get swept away. You can see the trees blowing from left to right for a while but then you can see them shifting directions at other times in the video. This wasn't a hurricane. I live near this area so I know it wasn't a hurricane.
What a video! I was listening to it on the news & they said it on 1010 wins that this was an F1 tornado for sure. It's official. I viewed it here cuz I couldn't see it from my email box, dagripsta. This had to be something. I thought that building was the funnel cloud for a short moment then I realized what it really was. Very windy for sure. Thanks for posting.

Scary but beautiful at the same time. I'm always awed by the force and beauty of nature.

that's not the tornado but really impressive windswept rain in a storm that produced a tornado CLOSE to you. I guess.
