  • nice build but over skinny ,and the rear legs are looking lil disturbed as in case of rickets.

all over its a nice dog.

  • I want one so badly D:

  • awsome dog, have newfys now but am considering this breed next, am still doing my home work

  • I am hoping to get a new pup soon. Do you have any experience with the Boerboel, as they seem very similar to Cane Corso's?

  • i wish my balls were that big i wouldnt be so ambarest all the time

  • They are, I bought mine for almost 3000. They are ancient

  • badass looking dog.hopefully this isnt a rare or expensive breed cuz id like a dog like this

  • Your both right the neapolitan mastiff was bred for centuries as a dog of war in bloody roman circus and then as estate guardian it is in there blood.Where as German sheperds where trained as protection dogs for 100s of years there temperment is exceptable to be trained and handled.Neapolitan mastiffs are naturally territorial and strong guard instinct.German sheperds have been bred to be all around dogs schutzuhund ,obedience, tracking service etc.

  • lmao, nice saggy balls XD

  • Really cute and wrinkled!!

  • @CerberusMolossers i think you dont understood me ,, for ME the rottie and the gsd are the best guard dogs ,,for YOU the corso is the best ,, and maybe you are right maybe i am right ,, each person has their own opinion, sorry if I offended you by saying that the corso was not a good guardian, german shepherds and rotties have amazingly strong jaws and corsos have the same or more or less jaw strenght

  • @erich1313sch

Every fancier of guardian breeds says that their breed is the ultimate. The truth is that there is no such thing. If you like a trainable dog that listens with a soldiers precision then GSD's will be your fave. A GSD has a fraction of the power of a Neo or even a Corso it still has enough juice to be effective.

Having a WELL BRED neo is like having a 50 caliber handgun. Little more difficult to control but over the top power. A GSD is a smaller caliber but gets the job done fine.

  • Sorry man but neos or corso is better for guarding???

  • @aenglot - Both breeds are great guarding breeds in terms of original reason for their creation. Unfortunately it really is down to the individual breeder and his/her breeding selection. Some of the best italian neapolitan mastini for guarding originated from the lines of Uberto Gasche and Faynad, if you can find a breeder who kept closely to their standards then for small space guarding they are untouchable. For larger grounds, Cane Corso are kings, but a little trigger happy. Good luck.

  • Neo is the best- I loved mine. He was very good to me and protected me till the end. Once you have one... Well any other dog wont do.

  • @kateoconnor13 - agreed, your comment brought tears to my eyes :'(

  • A very head strong dog not for a novice. I lost part of my ear because i got in between a fight with Neo and a Weim , Weim managed to get out of way i didnt. Neo thought i was other dog as i was between them. Wrong time and place.

  • thats a one arm for breakfast dog hah awsome :)

  • it`s perfect!!!!!!.....

  • neo's have ball bags on their face lol, he looks lyk he is melting

  • i love neos! they r awesome!

  • This is the end of a beautiful line, he has no siblings, and never had a chance to procreate though he had plenty goes with another pedigree female, he just couldnt tell the difference from mounting on the front to the rear, oh Frankie, my superstar!

  • Theres not a minute which goes by that I keep wandering what I could have done to prevent his passing. But life is life, the best things in life are short lived and experienced. Knowing Frankie, he will be waiting for me in the next world, and I truly cannot wait to see him again and spend the rest of eternity with my boy. Frankie my boy I have your bones and fried chicken - I will see you soon!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Sadly and with great pain I have to pass the news on, Frankie has moved on to his next life. He meant the world to me, his presence, his unlimited love and affection for me will be greatly missed, he passed on April 1st 2010. It was a combination of bloat and heart failure.

  • Nice dog I have a neo, great dogs

  • It is written in the breed standard, that the Neo must move with a lion's gate. I've not seen another Neo that more perfectly meets or exceeds that particular standard. Absolutely amazing specimen.

  • Thank you for your kind words, if only I could relay them onto Frankie, I'll buy him a big kebab later I think.

  • nice looking Mastiff ! i dont see many of them around these day's ! i own a C.A.O. which is also a rare sight

  • one of the most beautiful Neos i have seen, most these days are over done, he is perfect and very healthy looking..most have been over bred to produce mass wrinkle and giant size..frankie is perfect :)

  • thats great keep on posting new videos

    god bless u

  • hey how old is frankie?

  • Now he is 20 months. In this video he was 16 months. He's filling out rather quick, as you know they keep growing till about 4 years. I'll put another video up of him as he is now soon.

  • He is awesome, his tail is like a treek trunk, the only real drawback i have about the breed and why i went for a bullmastiff instead is due the the excessive wrinkling compared with the original neapolitan mastiff. They had few wrinkles and were slightly larger, but still 5*

  • this is the most perfect specimen for the Neapolitan mastiff breed. great video for neo lovers,,,,,,,,, really awesome

  • You must be a very knowledgable mastini lover or breeder to say this, not many honest lovers of the breed around these days. Thank you, and god bless.
