Cool lovely voice, I would advise you transpose it so you don't have to jump between the octaves.

Try this: Throw a capo on the 3rd fret and play it as if it were in Am. So:

Bb becomes a C shape with the capo

Eb becomes an F shape

F becomes a G shape

Gm becomes an Am shape

Ab becomes a Bb (power chord on the first fret) shape

Try that :) Hopefuly then you know your open shapes better and you dont have to interrupt the rhythmic flow
