  • Yes it hurt for me :/ i couldnt walk for 3 days..

  • My acl surgery is on June 17 2011. Omg! Is it hurt after surgery? Plz,can someone tell me??

  • @TheCrazy243 dont wanna freak you out but its a tough thing to come back from i just finished rehabing after mine, my surgery was in november, to answer your question its doesnt hurt as much as it is just like weird, your gunna be stuck in your bed for at least a week its uncomfortable and if its like mine your gunna have terrible ankle swelling and pains, but just prepare yourself to be out of comission for the first month then itll start to get better, best of luck to you

  • @yoriginal OMG REALLY?? hmm okay. Thank you so much!!!

  • if my SCL is partially broken, could heal with time and rehab? and can I practice sports normally after that?

    help!

  • depends on how you feel! if its stable to you then yes within several months of strength training you will be ok and could return to sports. But your chances of completely tearing are a bit higher. In order to prevent from doing so, strength your quads and hamstrings! If it feels loose, get surgery and you will be better in the long run!

  • ok! thanks a lot :)

  • that is one loose knee

  • do they put u to sleep or somthing? cuz i have to do that 2mrw and i can barley move it in any direction..... makes me wana throw up

  • while doing pivot shift u must mainatin the ankle innternally rotated, i dont see this doc doing that. anyhow i wouldnot do it before i do an anterior drawer test

  • ahhhh huuuh i have no idea wat people r talking bout lol

  • la diferencia es que con pivot shiff ves la triada de odonogue que es lesion del LAC, menisco interno y LLI, y con lachman ves solo ligamento anterior..

  • does the test hurt? :.(

  • no you cant even feel it

  • These small quick and CHEAP tests are done and clear cut cases won't need an MRI.

MRI scans don't just grown on trees y'know!

  • thanks

  • he's in surgery- has therefore had an MRI and probably started he's preparatory physiotherapy

  • what's the difference between pivot shift test and lachman test in terms of the finding? they both used to confirm ACL, aren't they?

  • Both used for ACL, yes. But while Lachman is generally better for diagnosis of ACL-rupture, pivot shift test gives better indication of knee function. For example, PS is related to patient satisfaction, participation in sports, etc. Lachman is not.

  • both is used to test the integrity of ACL but lachman is generally used to test for One Plane anterior instability of the knee, while this pivot shift is to test anterior + rotatory instability.

  • pivot shift test:-

test used to examine anterior cruciate(acl) ligament rupture or tear if +ve

    confirm acl tear

  • whats a pivot shift test?

  • nice
