Anyone that says ron jons sucks is an idiot. Ron jons has free parking and they dont mind if you park in their free parking and go surf at shepard park. They encourage it. There prices are some of the lowest and locals get a 20% discount. They stay open 24 hours a day. They have really hot chicks working there and they are a huge, solid job supplier in cocoa beach. Once, my antique chopper broke down late at night and i pulled into their parking lot. The manager gave me a flashlight to fix it.

Playa linda is the surfing capital of all Florida for a reason, if you wanna surf go there. Just went today and the waves are atleast 10-13 feet tall, best beach I have ever gone to in my life.

Hard to say. Usually right around MTVS spring break. MTV was in Panama city this last year and it was no joke. I remember I had found a parking spot, went out and surfed for a bit and then got back and was chilling on my car when BAM gunshots. Lo and behold someone got shot for a parking space. This is a nice video. I have been to Ron Jon Surf Shop. I was there in the summer of 2000. It was neat. I forgot it was open 24 hours a day though! Thanks for the reminder on that. I am going back there this summer on August 24th. Even though I will be lodging in Kissimmee, it is only like a 40 or 45-minute drive there. Great video and nice narration Audra!

Being a Native, we did fine before Cocoa Beach was pimped out to the tourists.

If we were ever lucky enough to not have so many tourists, ya, our employment rate would fall....but then many of the people who invaded us from up North would move away. 

The tourists are rude, they litter, and their cheap. This area, like many others, has been ruined by Tourism...it's just sad.

And Ron Jon's sucks....locals avoid it like the plague.

They showed the most crowded part of Cocoa Beach so that it wouldn't look deserted. There is almost NO ONE on the beach, usually. The dozens of people with surf boards? Probably a surfing class. There are never that many people in the water at the same time, otherwise. I love Cocoa Beach. Mind you, I'm a beginner surfer, so I like the small waves. It's been several years since I've seen big waves there.
