This is the first time I have ever heard this kind of experience by a gay person and I am appalled. I cannot believe that if any of my children would admit to me as being gay, I would do anything different to what I do today. But love them unconditionally and support and protect them with every fibre of my being. I cannot understand how parents could reject a child nor say the kinds of things this witness's said to their own child. Shame
My mother said if she could go back in time, she'd have never had kids. People who don't support our rights have no idea what it's like to be rejected by the only people who are supposed to love you no matter what. Those who say it is wrong to compare the civil rights movement to the gay rights movement are correct. It's much worse to be gay than black and worse still to be gay and black. I've never heard of a black person being told by their parents that they'll burn in hell for being black.
