  • Arguably the greatest Beatles song ever. It's between this or "I want to hold your hand".

  • This song has enough power to put me in a melancholy trance.

  • right on.

  • I LOVE this album so much. Enough said.

  • i love the mix verisons

  • I love it how there's bits of other song in it. At around 2:43 the Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band horns come in, and right after it the In My Life piano solo comes in and after THAT, there is the Penny Lane horns, then there's a bit of Piggies, and then there's the 'Hello, hey-hey-lo' from Hello, Goodbye, AND I might be mistaken but in the very last few minutes it sounds like Sgt Pepper's Reprise...? All that by ear :)

  • i love the drums

  • Thumbs down for putting up this CD track in MONO! :(

  • Does anyone know where to find the opening demo used in this song? I recognize the Anthology take that comes in around 0:30, but John's opening vocals are just incredible. Would love to get a hold of that demo, please help!

  • @TheJohndaker watch?v=53jCLYdArfY& :-)

  • @TheJohndaker there's a torrent on the pirate bay named 'The Beatles - It's Not Too Bad (Strawberry Fields Forever Compl' which contain lots of stuff about strawberry field... maybe in there. good luck

  • i think that the Sitar coming in at the very end sounds like it's from Sea of Time on the Yellow Submarine Album

  • theres only one thing george martin could have added to this

Hey - la Hey - ho - ey lo - ah

    what did you kill?

(From The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill)

  • I love the Magical Tour Version because of Ringo's drumming, but I used to hate how they slowed down Lennon's voice (Probably because he didn't like his voice). But in this version, there is less Ringo, which is ok because Lennon's voice is perfect here, George Martin used to bless him for Strawberry fields forever. Martin was started to cry when he said that John told him that if it was possible, he would recorded every songs he'd done, again, ESPECIALLY strawberry fields...

  • The harpsichord from Piggies is sick! I wish it was more prominent in the actual Piggies song

  • Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.......

  • there are 4 people in this world that are COMPLETE losers!!!

  • LENNON FOR LIFE

  • This song should be Renamed to "I got Like eight packs of Cookies"

  • I think the artist is supposed to be the "Beatles", not the Beat Less. Cause they had some pretty cool beats.

  • I love this so much.

  • this version is build from a demo, found in Anthology series, orchestral from Sgt. Pepper's... In My Life solo, brass from Penny Lane, cello and harpsichord from Piggies and coda from Hello Goodbye

  • @josemontenegro777 Cheers for all the information! The In My Life solo slides in seamlessly, definitely my favourite part of Love.

  • This just simply transports me to a landscape of being audiophonically intoxicated. Such a masterpiece of music composition that the arrangements in this piece in 2:42 demonstrates a psychedelic transition that is unmatched by today's standards. Truly brilliant!!!

  • Piggies and Hello Goodbye at the end is just fantastic.

  • @urcMD1 It's Penny Lane aswell

  • This is awesome.

  • The Ending Is Particularly Well Done!

  • Beautiful and mysterious///

  • I love the added 2 minutes to this song...

  • Anyone who knows which song the cembalo (I think it's a cembalo) is from @ 3:09?

  • @Pontuswre I think its from the Beatle song called "Piggies" by George Harrison on the White Album.

  • @Ishi680 Yeah, it is. :)

  • @Ishi680 'Piggies' :D great song , George did it for the white album

  • @Pontuswre from ' hello goodbye' . ; )

  • Ringo is the shining star in this version. His drumming in this is absolutely astounding!

  • @HugePokemonFan1203 Absolutely no one cares. Do you know how many people love the Beatles and hate Justin Bieber?

In fact, I don't even know why I'm writing this comment.

  • This song is just genius.

  • Lennon said the studio experimentation butchered some of his songs. I know what he meant now, thanks to GM ;]

  • This is amazing!!

  • This proves how beast the Beatles were and still are

  • @Dragonzphoenix Can you actually believe they were turned down by record companys who said they would never make it in the music business..

  • @romans52345 lennon's aunt mimi said he'd "never make it anywhere playing that infernal guitar" or something along those lines

  • @The5thDimension1 Yes she did say that but i could understand where she was coming from....

  • @The5thDimension1 She actually said "a guitar's alright John, but you'll never earn a living from it."

  • @HasARubberSoul thats what it is :P haha. thank you.

  • amazing like always !

  • i was thinking of making a video love album to accompany the cd.it would take alot of time and effort to do however.think the love album has like 28 songs.

  • There's a bit of Sgt. Pepper and In My Life at the beginning of the drum loop too...

  • In my life guitar was there as well

  • The Beatles were on drugs while they were recording this, it says so in Flowers in The Dustbin 1947-1977.

  • Hey, can anyone tell which songs are involved from 2:55 to 3:06 and 3:06 to 3:26? i cant figure it out.

    thank you very much

  • @tjhghghjh Hello Goodbye

The Beatles... A TIME WHEN TIME STOOD STILL...

    Keep the dream alive!

    Peace, Love & Happiness,

    Scotty Rainnes

  • John's voice... god it gives me goosebumps.

  • 1......2....3.....4......go

  • John Lennon's voice is absolute perfection...

  • I sure don't remember Ringos beats being that groovy! 1:58

  • @xxArTmAtTeRsxx troll...in short: douche.

  • saw the show at the Mirage on new years eve... it made me fall in love with The Beatles <3

  • this makes my heart beat alot faster and almost cry because there isn't music like this these days

  • From 2:40 till the end is seriously one of the best things I've ever heard. It's just unbelievable how well everything fits together.

  • This is the kind of stuff that makes me wake up in the moring and say "Hey maybe there is hope"

  • WHY THE HELL IS KANYES NAME ON THIS VIDEO?

modern music doesn't even compare to the beatles!

  • @limelive17

thanks for making an extremely idiotic generalization cast onto tens of thousands of bands youve never listened to.

why cant i go on any classic rock video without witnessing an orgy of stupidity?

  • Comment removed

  • first of all, i was making a generalization of all the shit i HAVE listened to. and most of what is on the charts.

second, i never said any of it was bad. i just meant the beatles are, byfar, THE greatest band of all time, and only some groups come close.

  • it really kicks in at 1:10

  • I'm 13 too, and I went to a Rain concert. If they're in your town, SEE THEM THEY'RE AMAZING I'M NOT KIDDING!!!!! I cried when they did Yesterday ;-;

  • potheads

  • soundgasm!

  • so basically all i need to do to get a top comment is say im 11 and i hate that bieber kid?

  • @0JCB1989 ya pretty much

  • @0JCB1989 Apparently so.

  • @0JCB1989 ive gotten it a few time without any kind of BS like that

ex. on a video that said something along the lines of top 5 most famous people i got it

  • holy god, who is this motherfuck who disliked?

  • @ienjoyapples sorry man...

    lol im jk

  • 2:34 - 4:32

    best. remix. ever.

  • 1 person is living with eyes closed

  • @elleroxsox Paul McCartney???

  • love piggies with hello goodbye

  • I prefer the original Magical Mystery Tour version. This doesn't sound any better and mixes in a lot of other song bits towards the end. Myabe John Lennon would have liked the collage of sound, but it doesn't do anything for me!

  • does this make anyone else think about how AMAZINGG the beatles were? In a feeling thats unexplainable??

  • George Martin works his magic to produce this modern masterpiece of a medley.

  • I just eargasmed

  • and to get hum about i like haow he says that

  • i like this version

  • whos the 1 nickelback fan who disliked this vid!

  • Comment removed

  • you guys are forgetting "tomorrow never knows" at the end

  • I must say, I REALLY like this version....this convinced me to buy the album

  • @Drunksonic I totally agree. The music today is shit compared to the music during to 50's, 60's, and 70's. From there on, good music went down hill as the shitty music rized in a horrible stance.

  • @chaoinspace2 80's music was ok, too....I think after THAT it started to really go downhill

  • this is the most orgasmic things ever!

  • Before I was born, I listened to Beatles. You see, my mom put headphones on her gut when she was pregnant, and now as a 13 year old kid, I can hardly stand the music you hear on the street.

  • @Drunksonic why couldn't my mom do that with me? lol that's pretty cool a Beatle fan from birth=]

  • @Drunksonic ya tht new pop crap SUCKS this is real music! im also 13

  • @Drunksonic I'm 13, too, and my dad played many Beatles albums while I was still not born yet. Then, at the age of 3 days old, my dad played the first entire album I ever consciously heard. Canned Heat's "Vintage".

I used to be like you.

You'll discover that good rap exists, as I did.

You'll discover good techno exists, as I did.

You'll probably even begin to appreciate Kanye West's new album, as I do.

Point is, don't say "New music sucks!" because while, a lot does, there is some great stuff.

  • @ifhgsfj Good rap is good. Good rap is out there, except it's more so underground. Techno is good. I don't like annoying pop from 50% of modern FM stations. I don't really like Kanye though. My new thing is 90's alternative, Smashing Pumpkins and everything.

  • @Drunksonic Oh, good. I apologize for my previous comment, as looking back at it, it seems a bit pretentious, like I'm trying to say "I'M BETTER THAN YOU".

If you're into 90's Alternative, I'd recommend Neutral Milk Hotel's albums "On Avery Island" and "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea".

Another thing I'd say would be good is to check out a website called "/mu/".

If you google "4chan mu", it's the first result. They have a generally good taste, see if you can find the "essentials" list.

  • @ifhgsfj I've had bad experiences with 4chan.

  • @Drunksonic Well, it's up to you in the end, but I'd like to emphasize that 4chan is not just /b/.

  • @ifhgsfj mew has good taste? HAHA they listen to kanye west

    go kill yourself

  • @xSobhan >implying that kanye west is bad

  • @ifhgsfj die.

  • @xSobhan Yeah, I'm a bit different from you.

Excuse me while I go slit my wrists and cry in the dark.

  • @ifhgsfj no, you're a lot different than me, you like kanye west, the shittiest musician ever born

  • @xSobhan wat

    Kanye?

    Shittiest musician ever?

I'd like to point you in the direction of BrokenCYDE, Joanna Newsom, Soulja Boy, and Nicki Minaj.

    You can thank me later.

  • @ifhgsfj they're not musicians.

  • @xSobhan What makes Kanye a musician, and what makes someone like Nicki Minaj or Joanna Newsom not a musician?

  • @ifhgsfj kanye's not a musician either, sorry for even calling him one

  • @Drunksonic

congratulations you have turned into an egotistical and pretentious musical snob with an extremely narrow view on music

  • @jeremyp371 Oh boo hoo, pussy boy.

  • @Drunksonic

this coming from the guy who named himself after a hedgehog.

  • @jeremyp371 dude i was nine when i made this account. get over yourself an your bad taste in music. Go listen to a good band.

  • @Drunksonic

do the beatles are bad music? cuz thats what i am listening to.

    wow youre opinion really changed

  • @jeremyp371 Well, you're saying my view is narrow. So what, do you want me to open up to the music of today, which by the way is horrible? Ha, ha, ha, ha. Learn to english, by the way, because the Beatles certainly do not are bad music.

  • @Drunksonic

are you kidding music is just as good as it was 45 years ago.

  • @Drunksonic

deerhunter, lcd soundsystem, copeland, animal collective, arcade fire, kanye west, madvillain, ariel pink, the flaming lips. broken social scene, curren$y, low, earl sweatshirt, tit us andronicus, etc etc etc i could go on forever. the problem isnt the music. the problem is youre too lazy to look for any music beyond the top 40 charts. so promptly shut the fuck up, kid

  • @jeremyp371 I know broken social scene, they did music for that one movie Scott pilgrim. but keep notice that my post said ON THE STREET. as in the things that get shoved down your throat when you walk out the front door. maybe I just live in that horrible place in LA county where nobody knows good music anymore. it's harder to find good music when you live in a toilet.

  • @Drunksonic so true

  • @Drunksonic so im not the only one LOL my mom used hey jude as a lullabye

  • @Drunksonic i hope you appreciate all the other great '60s music. because even the beatles were great, they weren't necessarily the best.

  • @DrunkLaserTagPlayer i enjoy stones and listen to the 60's-70's station K-RTH (california, la county)

  • @DrunkLaserTagPlayer

No, they were the best. They were necessarily the best. I listen to a lot of 60s music, but I don't need to pretend any of it was as good as the Beatles just to impress people.

  • @KillMeNowVIII im not trying to impress anybody. i just think the doors, cream and jimi hendrix were just as good. not necessarily better, but were as good or a little better instrumentally.

  • @DrunkLaserTagPlayer Personally I think there were far better bands in the 60s than the ones you mention, but would not say any other group of the 60s was better than the Beatles. Personal preference can always be disputed. There are a few other bands and singers I like as much as the Beatles. What can not be disputed is the Beatles talent taking them further than anyone else. Album tracks just as well known as singles, countless songs written for others as well. No one can compare with that!

  • Gotta say....I really like this version

  • love it,

  • my grandma used to sing this to me

  • I think this is so beautiful:)

  • I am twwo yhears ohld and no need wiki

  • Great!

  • I'm 17 and after listening to The Beatles since I was a little kid I couldn't pick every song out of this without a wiki. Sorry.

  • Lennon. :)

  • im 14 and could pick out every song in this without a wiki
