Her interpretation of this is that God is telling us that we are safe in his arms, just like our children should be safe in our arms... Beautiful song, no matter how you take it.

And Evanescence uses completely different instruments. Much harder, but still a gentleness to it. lol, sorry but Evanescence is one of my fave all time groups. My sister passed away from cancer a few weeks ago. She was 3 and was diagnosed with brain cancer a few weeks before her 2nd birthday. I always wanted a baby sister, and god finally gave me one. A Christian may look at it as a female writing a song from God's perspective, as some Christian artists do. {example: "I Love You More" by some artist I can't remember} And it also can be used as that perspective. Either way, it's still sort of a parent-child relationship going on. :)

Whenever I actually get to see my dad, we have the best time.. With my 3 year old, amazing brother.. My dad.. He had 2 other daughters, and they're just getting re-intouch with him.. My sister passed away from cancer a few weeks ago. She was 3 and was diagnosed with brain cancer a few weeks before her 2nd birthday. I always wanted a baby sister, and god finally gave me one. She brought so much joy to my heart. It like she saved all of us and taught us to enjoy life and be happy. I miss her so much It hurts. Every time I hear this song I think of my beautiful baby sister, my best friend.

@lovemedisaster22 I'm so sorry... Please keep her memory alive in your heart. It will hurt. No doubt about that. But as long as she lives in a single heart, a single memory, a single soul, she won't be really gone.
Whatever afterlife there may be, be patient and you will see her again there. She isn't gone forever. I just know that.
Hold on. My sympathies. One day you will get over it. It's not as easy as people sometimes paint it to be, but you will manage. On my word.

I absolutley love the way it sounds and all the emotion thats poured out of her voice. it captures my heart and soul and reminds me of why I will never give up! life is worth living and every breath is a gift especially if there is someone I have to protect and live for.

@lollipopi1 He will. If He is good - but we have 3 religions saying that, so we can state that - He will protect the innocent. And even when the first one of the three of you dies, feel comforted in the sure and certain knowledge - for litterally every religion states something of the kind - the three of you will meet up in Heaven. Have a great life, and that als goes for your little siblings.

Pagan religions aren't that bad. It's just that Christianity (and Judaeism (sorry if I mispelled that; I obviously mean the Jewish faith) and probably Islam) aren't tolerant to polytheism (religions with many gods; 'poly' = 'many, multiple', 'theos' = 'god').

@parislexie It all depends on how you look at it. A Christian may look at it as a female writing a song from God's perspective, as some Christian artists do. {example: "I Love You More" by some artist I can't remember} And it also can be used as that perspective. Either way, it's still sort of a parent-child relationship going on. :)
