  • My dad owns one that we go to a few 1000 yard matchs with. fun gun to shoot prone like that

  • i think this is a good choice when you life on a farm or something like that, but then again you would need to know if and when someone is coming, regardless i would like to shoot some rounds off with it

  • recoil on this one seems fiarly lower than on a M82. true?

  • I open the fridge at my house the very same way!

  • Owning something like this is somewhat of a dream of mine, But What would you really use it for? Take it to the range fire 5 shots, oh there goes 25$

  • @Tehl33tpwnage >$20, I get a deal on ammo from my dealer, but yeah, I understand your point. And really, the only time I fire it is on an occasional trip to the range. It was a divorce present to myself. Why own it? Other than because I can? Well, there's really no other reason. It's expensive, but fun, to shoot.

  • @SapperPest19 good for you man enjoying something you like to enjoy and if your in a good financial situation even better shot this gun once and its worth every penny

  • @Tehl33tpwnage

I bought My AR-50 used not to pricey, surplus ammo $2.25 each. I must say I stopped drinking and the AR is cheaper and a better kick. The coolest rifle I have ever shot. I love it

  • @Tehl33tpwnage it's best application is home protection from a mile away >=)

  • The 50 bmg has a kill range of 8mi but not with this rifle they get the 8mi kills with a quad 50 these bullets moving at terminal velocity can and have killed!!! But this Is not accurately done the quad 50 consist of 4 ma Duce machine guns that fire at the same time so it is spray and pray

  • What kind of accuracy do you get (MOA, MRAD) with what ammunition?

  • Great shot! I got to fire one of these today. A lot less recoil than one would imagine. Crazy fun!

  • @rcfalconry dude i know, i just fired one today. Its had very little recoil, but man it was loud!! Sounded like a damn cannon

  • i need to live in america!!

  • This is just to clear some questions up. This rifle is single shot. Distance for this round is dependent on shooter skill and round quality, but not model or make of gun, ie. Barrett M99. But it is possible for the big 50 to reach 2500 yards in the right hands. Good ammo goes for about $5 apiece retail. Can be cheaper if you reload your own, or have a good relationship with a supplier.

  • does the barrett m99 has more range then this one ?

  • ear protection??

  • @TheHaunter Ear protection? That's the thing in his ears that is protecting his ears when he pulls the trigger. What about it would you like to know?

  • @SapperPest19 What i was saying is I didn't see any that is all.

  • my imagination or ur friend is on the army?

  • is it .50 cal . Magazine. Or single ?

  • Be very very quite were hunting... well anything within a 1,000 yards will be suffice... tehetehe...

  • I noticed a little fire on impact. Blue Tip? API? The lack of the yellowish smoke has me wondering. I didn't see a trace so that leaces out APIT and Spotter-Tracer. My AR50 is one of my favorite guns and never gets left in the safe on range day.

  • Blue tip.

  • does the 50 cal have recoil subcribe for me

  • It has some recoil but not as much as one might think. The muzzle brake does a pretty good job.

  • how much was the ar50,am guessing 5,grand?

  • You can Get a Armalite AR 50 for around $3200

  • I think I gt mine for around $2800. But my gun dealer usually gives me a pretty good deal.

  • Armalite Website says you can get them for about $3400.00..

  • what is the recoil like?

  • It's really not as bad as you might think. The muzzle break does a pretty decent job of helping control the recoil.

  • whats the range about 100-125yards?

  • Perhaps more than that...

  • haha the accents in the background explain everything

  • Really? And what does my friend's accent explain?

  • There is no need for that kind of bigotry here. They are just people having fun.

  • hoy much is one of those rounds... its gotta be pricy??

  • about $4 each. needless to say, i don't go shooting as often as i'd like.

  • damn im moving to the us just to get hold of a armalite AR50 fuck whatever else is going on

  • Only problem with the .50 is that no matter what the hearing protection you use, the percussion on the air around your face from the muzzle brake screws with you ears. Its not sound its the percussion that vibrates your hairs in you ear that effect balance. Ive heard of guys shooting a 10 shot string in 10 minutes and not being able to walk straight for a few minutes afterward. Its a mean round

  • Never had a problem like that, and I only shoot with reusable red rubber plugs. What's even worse than the .50 is my short .45-70, especially with some of the hot handloads I've been running through there.

  • Yee Haw

  • how much is a gun like that?

  • $3500 for that same make and model.

  • anzio a company who makes custom 50s an 20s have pics of deere they have shot with 50s

  • Must be a heavy trigger, your friend had his whole index finger joint on it. Man, I love shooting .50 cal rifles.

  • It's not bad. I use "too much" finger on my M-4 so it might just be his shooting preference. Besides, you can't really see how much finger he has on the trigger from the video. It's just not that clear.

  • Dude nice video by I don't see any ear protection at all no earplugs etc besides earplugs aren't sufficient for protecting your hearing when you fire a .50 cal.

Use ear plugs & those whatever they are called like big silenting headphones or whatnot.

Not sure if you care about it but you can get tinitus or loose hearing by not wearing hearing protection devices...

Be safe and shoot some targets with that .50 cal for me ;)

    -Tobe

  • He had ear plugs in. We all did.

  • Cool, still ear plugs are really in-adaquate shooting large caliber weapons such as a .50 cal or 7.62 within close confinements.

You should have both ear plugs and like headphones ear protection. (sorry don't know their name in english.) I am not trying to be a smart ass, just don't want you to get hearing loss or tinitus...

  • lol.... uhhh i wana hit that tree stump

  • Yeah...my buddy is a bit of a redneck.

  • I love this country

  • haha arent teh bullets for that thing like $6 a bullet?

  • They can be bought in bulk for about $4 a round.

  • worth every penny

  • Took the words out of my mouth :o)

  • Being British I (Welsh) am use to politicians making false promises which are never acted on.

Politicians are a very sneaky bunch, they say what the people want to hear so they become elected.

  • Maybe they need a taste of the Declaration of Independence and some hot lead.

  • very true. a politician here in the us just changed parties to the democrats because he said he didnt think he would get reelected as a republican.

  • Bye bye .50 here comes Obama!

  • I'm hoping he keeps his word and does not, he painted the radio in NH with ads saying he isn't anti gun and won't push for their being taken.

  • @CHOPERUS23 failure

  • Bloody Hell man thats one dead fridge. What do you use the 50 for? Many Elephants down there.

  • That would work on ARMORED elephants.

  • goddamn these hillybillys like guns 2 much

  • Wow. That's not really an insult coming from someone with "monkey peeing in his own mouth" as one of his favorite videos.

  • good one

  • God damn Commies like to take guns. What's wrong Commie? Afraid hillbillies with .50 calibers might foil your plans?

  • Oh I heard you like taking up the butt to much. Dont like the vid dont watch your the stupid ass that decided to watch it yeesh...

    Have a nice day :)

    Nice vid sapper

  • i would like to be a hillybilly like that with a 3k gun. the only one i got was $80 from big 5.

  • where can I buy something like that?? it'll b fun go hunting for deer w a gun like this.

  • you would'nt be able to find the deer if you shot it with that

  • Bradley. . it's like shooting a 12 gauge from the prone position. It's so heavy there's not as much recoil as you'd think with a .50cal round.

  • what kind of kick does that beast have? compared to other guns

  • considering the amount of keyholing on the fridge i think you can take some advice. he should try following through. the whole 'lift cheek and check' is a terrible habit. maintain cheek weld and keep the firing hand in place and trigger finger depressed even after the shot breaks. many folks can drill a fridge @ 200-ish yds, but you'd be amazed at how quickly these 'fridge MOA' groups open up at 1000yds. seriously, thats an accurate rifle. why not learn a few techniques to get the most from it?

  • oh i wana hit that tree stump

  • that dude is left eye dominant...learn to shoot from his left shouldar. with time, he might be able to hit something.

  • Unfortunately, you are wrong. He didn't have any trouble hitting anything.

  • Wasnt disrespecting him, just sayin his shooting would be more comfortable for him if he was shooting from his left side

  • Again, you are wrong. I've been shooting with him several times. He's a pretty good shot. I've seen him shoot Glocks, 1911s, Springfield XDs, AR-15s, this AR-50, a PS-90, AK-47s, SKSs, a Mosin Nagant, (should I go on?) and he's very comfortable shooting from his right side. Shooting from his left side and forcing himself to use his left eye would greatly decrease his accuracy.

  • Everybody thinks they're an expert don't they? Nice vid.
