Huh,I wonder why the Guy Smiley captin manages to get through the door easily in all three sketches while the Purple Patrick Stewart AM captin in the Planet H sketch has trouble getting through the door.
I agree these aren't all that good, although I think the intros are hilarious. (especially when you can see all three back to back here on YouTube, and see the first mate get increasingly weary of the mission.) I love that Captain. :)
Even though these are rather dull, they're interesting to see since they would have been among the last pieces of puppeteering Jim Henson ever did before he bit it. (this is 1989, right?)

This one was my favorite Spaceship Surprise when I was 4. I think the Shimmy-Shake at the end sealed it.

I just plain loved all three of the old ones all together.
*Sighs* If only Jim Henson and Richard Hunt hadn't died, they'd have probabal made more episodes.
Still, god bless those men.

What the hell did that shovel say when it made its apperance? O_o
Shadowhawk28 4 years ago
The shovel said:
"It's a Sham I tell ya... A SHAM!! A SHAM!!"
Then it said...
"It's a sham... the Shrimp is a SHAM!!!"
Then as he went out he said the first plot agian.
I know everything about all 4 SPACESHIP SURPRISE sketches... if anyone else wishes to know something... I'll do my best to explian.

LOL! Shane the sheriff shrimp! "Shane,Shane! come back Shane!" LOL "Shane" reference!
These seem to follow a very similar plot formula only with a different sound.

And just before that, the Captain says "Come back, little Sheba" which also happens to be a movie.
