  • Awesome, gorgeous, beautiful...no words.

  • Downton Abbey <3

  • Start of this song reminds me of Pyramid Song & How To Disappear Completely. If you have no idea about those two songs, go listen to the second song first. Both are performed by Radiohead, and thanks to this I think I'll go give Kid A a good listen, it's been a long while.

  • @GriefWatch101 I listened to Amnesiac for the first time last night. It's no wonder this sounded familiar.

  • Still love this song, it's a ma zing

  • This is a very "synonymous" video. =p

  • A great song, but i thought that guy was from assassins creed.

  • Trailer for Downtown Abbey's Season Two brought me here. My latest addiction. Thank you.

  • Try listening to this while watching falling stars.

  • I came here after hearing it on "Nikita"

  • simply one of the greatest, most beautiful songs ever written, if you disagree, you simply haven't lived to understand. im so happy i was born to hear this.

  • @SqueezyBottle not really

  • I love this song. Whenever I feel blue and/or want to be alone, I listen to this song. Especially at 2:46-3:06, I just get chills

  • @SqueezyBottle agree! funny how when everybody likes it and its "cool" suddenly you can't enjoy it anymore. Jonsi will forever be ours if we all obey the code of Jonsi silence!

  • Quechua's advertising brought me here ; )

  • his music should be used for music therapy it could help so many

  • there's just something about Jonsi's music that makes me feel like i am about to make the biggest decision of my life. by the last 30 seconds of the song, i've made that decision and it's a good one:)

  • i was in a little family run music store in toronto canada when i first heard this song, on holiday from the uk, it only took me about 30 seconds to make my mind up to buy this album. its absolutely beautiful. and thank you for posting this. not sure why but it seems to bring up all kinds of memories.

  • That four minutes went by so fast...

  • absolutely beautiful

  • can we stop the metal discussion and just enjoy this wonderful music please?

  • 6 people don't have fucking souls...

  • speechless.....

  • Oh, and this song is just absolutely sublime, straight from the heart of jónsi's brain, one of my favs, along with all the work he has done in Sigur Rós! Thank you AartGraaf, and sorry for the off-topic down here.. ;D

  • I actually discovered this song while playing an art game on newgrounds. This song is absolutely beautiful.

  • This song is amazing :)

  • I could listen to this song forever <3

  • This was recommended to me by a good friend of mine. I do not regret clicking the link at all. What a beautiful song. It brings a mix of emotions for me. I love it.

  • @ladydragoncharmer

    Same here!!

  • Goddam Jónsi is so gewd at what he does.

  • lovvve songs like this....does anyone know of more similar...??

  • Kat on twitter sent me here... New song for my playlist... :).

  • heard this song on a game and jus couldnt wait to look it up...its feeled with passion

  • Heard this on The Killer Cambodia story game amazing i was touched when i heard it thumbs up if you felt the same

  • I felt the need to look up this song after playing a game called "The Killer" on Newgrounds. It was a beautiful work of art paired with this song. I'm glad I came across both of these.

  • anyone notice how this song is exactly like "How to Disappear Completely" by Radiohead. In a good way of course

  • @STEVEswanson11 yeah the start of it sounds a bit like it, it has the same sort of melody, I dont think the whole melody is the same but its really similar though I can really hear what your saying (I searched on youtube for the radiohead song)

  • Heard this for the first time today, randomly, and it reminded me immediately of seeing Sigur Rós in Omaha, NE a couple summers ago.. Deadly tornados came through that night and killed some people and they played and it was so intense... Just flashed back on taking shelter, and hearing them offer their music to the memory of those that had been hurt by the storms. Crazy...

  • This Song Is Amazing

  • daydream & eargasm

  • People actually brag about music diversity? Seriously? It should be natural to explore everything that you have access to.

  • One of the best!

  • Jonsi is the one of the lead singers for Sigur Ros!

  • @Llama6669 No shit!!

  • I got punched in the face by God.

    In a good way though.

  • @Skateboardingcuber good thing there is no god, it was an illusory assault

  • This song is sooo sad and beautiful. Jonsi is the king! If you like this kind of music, you should check out ''Fragile Bones(Feels Like Home)'' by Ali Murray. Sigur Ros and Ali Murray are 2 of the only musical artists that make me cry...

  • This song touches me in a way no other song can. In fact-all of Jonsi's songs have this effect on me.

It's like, with each song, you can't even describe how you feel.

You just sit there in awe, dumfounded and confused, feeling more amazing and terrified then ever before.

    It's beautiful.

  • Does anyone else fin that Jonsi tends to let his voice fall in with the music? Like most artists use the instruments to ADD to their songs, and mainly their lyrics. But Jonsi just does more than that. He lets his voice be part of the music. Everything just fits together so perfectly, and at times when I don't understand what he is singing, I still get it. You can feel Jonsi's music, rather than just hear it, he really has an amazing gift.

  • @BeezillaB4U check out Sigur Rós med sud í eyrum,

    Jónsi sings in it,

    its just beutiful!

  • It's like he ripped out the very core of my soul and turned it into a brilliant piece of colorful artwork.

Actually, that's EXACTLY what he did.

This is what being alive sounds like, just incase you all didn't notice :D

  • sounds like radiohead

  • His voice is similar to that of Brian Fennel from Barcelona. Although they have very different styles, both are sooo talented. A

  • This music is genius.

  • live, when the lights go off. insane. was like watching a god.

  • Jonsi is genius.

  • Whoever disliked this video must have no heart...No soul. This rythym is beautiful, the melody unmatchable, his voice angellic and unbeatable, and the attitude absolutely heart lifting. Whenever I have a good moment or memory in life, I will think back on this song to make it even better. Do not dislike this amazing piece of art (as it is much more than music) just because you are a troll. Have a bit of respect for the good in this world.

  • This is amazing. It sounds like they were doing the melody of How to Disappear Completely by Radiohead. I prolly sound dumb for pointing out the obvious. But it's a great song either way :)

  • My life is better for having heard this song!!!

  • El calor de la montaña

  • I'm the biggest metalhead you'll ever meet. My favorite band is Whitechapel. But this is fucking beautiful.

  • @XXDeathxCore

haha just bought Whitechapel and Sigur Ros Cd together they really are awesome^^

  • @XXDeathxCore I love when people who are huge fans of one genre suddenly fall in love with a song that's wildly different.....it gives me hope for humanity

  • @XXDeathxCore Whitechapel is so metal, bro.

  • @soranaru I know lol

  • @XXDeathxCore You do realize I'm being sarcastic, right?

  • @soranaru Whitechapel is metal lol Fuck sub genres.

  • @XXDeathxCore They're metal, yes, but really shitty metal.

Lol, are subgenres too confusing for your tiny deathcore worshiping brain?

  • @soranaru In your opinion they're shitty. Deathcore, metalcore, tech death metal, tech deathcore, blah blah blah. It's all fucking metal.

  • @XXDeathxCore It's scene metal. Don't go around claiming to be a metalhead when you listen to chugga chugga bree bree bullshit.

  • @soranaru Yeah that's what After the Burial, Volumes, Bury your Dead(With Mat Bruso), Defiler, Veil of Maya, and Born of Osiris are lol. Learn your shit bro. Those band I just named are amazing. None of them "bre bre or chug chug."

  • @XXDeathxCore Those bands are mediocre, but still a huge insult to good death metal like Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Death, etc.

  • @soranaru Dude, it's all in your opinion.

  • @soranaru Suffocation good death metal? Holy s man. And don't talk about Slayer either! Try some Necrophagist , Augury , Anata, Order of Ennead... oh! And fucking Whitechapel to see what's musical assed death metal ;) I see your mind a bit to tiny to fuck with different subgenres, try to pull out for a while of the classic death metal scene and try some modern stuff, you'll get raped in a second. Speaking of Deathcore, All Shall Perish are sick! Start with that, then come here to thank me =D x)

  • @MartimZeitgeist What in the actual fuck are you even talking about?

Necrophagist is shit, but I like Anata and Augury. And deathcore is atrocious, sorry.

  • @XXDeathxCore but whitechapel isnt metal its shit compiled into a thing that you call music but is not....you sir have horrible taste and metal is better without the core so you sir are not a metalhead....just a wannabe

  • @Boobiespudding but everyone is intitled to their own opinion, though i agree that, in my own opinion, thats not very good, however, everyone likes different things, im sure someone finds your style of music shitty too *shrug*

  • A co-worker played this at work yesterday. This song is simply awesome.

  • This music is way beyond just awesome ....

  • Woh .

  • I have chills when I am listening to this melody...it's not just a music...

  • I swear this song is sooo epic!

  • beautful :)

  • This Is Amazing .

I love the music more than the words .. but ..

    stillll..

    its beautiful :D

  • more people should go listen to Sigur Ros

some of this sounds taken out from that, but he does do some new things and its pretty good.

  • wow, this whole album is just genius

  • It's like he takes what our thoughts won't let us understand and BAM, it's right there. I. Love. What. You. Do.

  • @Adysu-- "This is what falling in love sounds like"-- could not agree more, and couldn't have said it better myself.

What a song-- just crazy gorgeous.

  • Shivers

  • Emotion provoking song. Some days I will cry to it others I feel like this is what happy sounds like.... amazing work.

  • @EriNicole777 I know what you mean! <3

  • excellent..

  • C'est si beau , si lèger tout simplement magnifique <3

  • magnifique <3

  • A song who kill me .... I hate my life ... Goodbye the world .

  • wow...1 dislike

  • This song blows me away every time. No matter how much I listen to it.

  • The most beautiful song i've ever heard. Seen Jonsi live and he is an artistic genius!

  • this guy is epic!

  • jonsi has the best voice ever

  • @ExorcistAhmed

His voice is great, no contest to Freddie Mercury though.

But Jónsi's voice is plainly suberb for this musical setting.

  • I think all of us who appreciate Sigur Ros and Jonsi for everything that it is and means and gives, we should just go live on our own compound and space out to music all day. This is the soundtrack to life

  • This was the most mind blowing show, and this song had everyone around me patting down their goosebumps and wiping away tears. That powerful. That beautiful.

  • have to do a comtemporary piece for this ... i love this song so much :) even though the dance wears me out this song calms me, its beautiful :)

  • great song i attempted to cover

    youtube.com/watch?v=hI23cdSkgPQ

  • Beautiful.

  • This is what i like to be seen, beautiful music, talent, and the fact that no one disliked this video! People really do know real talent :)

  • If i ever die, i want this at my funeral, and people to remeber about who i was, and not about what i could have been.

and after this song a biiig part, i'm into Jonsi since this week.....thus missed him at lowlands 2010, such a sad story

  • This song gives me chills.

    Absolutely mesmerizing.

  • Masterpiece.

  • A quiet masterpiece. =)

  • this song makes me feel so cold and alone, yet so warm and alive. AT THE SAME TIME.

  • So beautiful, oh man. I'm speechless.

  • I didn't know about Jónsi's new work!! But I'm in love, just like I love the whole Sigur Rós project!!

    Jónsi Go :)

  • bonitha ahh=(

  • my computer asked me if i wanted to translate.lol. I love Jonsi his music is a reflection of himself.

  • i absolutely positively fucking LOVE jonsi. <3

  • Marvelous from the touch of the first note on the piano. This melody is the ballad for the natural disasters in Iceland ....

Thanks Jonsi for not changing what's in your heart to meet what is desired by the current times for acknowledgement and amazement....seems like so many are amazed now by superficial insanity in music. Smiles....and tell your bandmates Happy Father's Day! =)

  • @04smallmj you need a smack

  • @JayfuzOMarley haha I'm only joking!

  • I didn't know this man until a few days ago. He's coming to Lowlands here in the Netherlands.

I started listening to his music, and I can't do anything else than love it.

Makes me feel like I'm im this carefree world.

  • This is absolutely magical

  • LAWL at the music theory debate here. Not all music is to be broken down into maths. Just enjoyed. It can be as abstract as the creator wants it to be. Just listen :D

  • This is what falling in love sounds like.

  • @Adysu A gay man singing???
