I love this video - it's pretty political but hell, it surely needs to be said! Fell in love with Cliff when I was aprx 14, and it never left me, ever. What a wonderful human being and superb songsmith he was. He was taken far too soon, it was simply wicked. I am sure he is at peace but, none the same, we sure do as hell miss ya fella! Thanks for filling up my adolescent years and now, so much time later, also returning me to this song with a better, more enlighted & healthier perspective!

i bought the album home thoughts when it was released back in 73.i have been playing it ever since.this is a beautiful song with a lesson,should anyone chose to see it.the best video i have ever seen on the tube,well done and god bless.

I actually met him when he was recording this but i was only a child when i met him in his trailer with my dad.

I never realised this song was released, and it brings back so many memories of seeing him!

I stumbled across cliffs music quite accidently, I was clearing out a cupboard at a restaurant I was working at..Found Mantlepieces and Homethoghts on a double play cassette, I can honestly say I played that tape everyday whilst setting up..that was in 1992 and I was 19yrs old at the time..and this song was one of my favourites, it used to drive the chefs mad as the lady washerupper used to sing "Yes jesus loves you"...very badly....

At the age of 17 i fisrt heard this song from my Elder brothers bedroom, and growing up in the early 70s i thought WTF going on here!!!

I honestly didn't know what to make of it ,but i always remembered singing the hymn at the end of the song in assembly at school, ...

Many many years down the line, the song is one of my Fav, the video in my humble opinion is one of your best , it is deep, funny and sends out a poignant message to the whole world.., well done mate ;)
