  • how much cc is that enigine?

  • ...This is really small at 1/6 scale...the Conleys are mostly all 1/4 scale...and they sell (when the makers feel like it) for around $10-12K... These are art-work..but hard to keep running without a big flywheel...

  • I want one

  • Do all corvets die out and have to restart like 5 times in 12 seconds or is it just me.

  • looks like your engine was getting hot and the fuel was back feeding from the pressure away from the carb, like a nitro engine will do

  • I'm a bit confused. That engine is 884cc? Or is it physical dimension that is scaled?

  • needs more duration on the cam......great attempt tho just kidding thats really cool

  • even though its a v8 it doesnt sound like one

  • so, how is it cooled?

  • Is that the fuel pump that hums when the engine cuts out in this video?

  • Cool is it for sale ?

  • Very nice, but it sounds like it's sucking fuel faster than it can get fuel. :P

  • it will run my pencil sharpener just fine

  • lmao, its keeps dieing out just like a chevrolet and looks exactly like the Lt1 c4 model...

  • i cannot imagine what it was like to try and build this. trying not to strip the threads and timing the motor must have been a pain in the ass

  • is there anyway i could buy one of these? if so contact me at austin.moore@rcsnc.org

  • illbuy it lol

  • How did you make the mini carb?

  • is this a 327? replica

  • make a Miny car

  • aint that just a conley v8?

  • @baptistedeschrevel conley engines are much larger and not a replica of an actual production engine.

  • @acegear1 oh yeh now i noticed thanks :)

  • @baptistedeschrevel

I believe The ConleyPrecision. com is NOT the same as this.

  • @rcWizzard oh i got confused by your engine

  • You need to run premium fuel dude!

  • What do you do for ignition parts?????????

  • where do you get these at?

  • You laugh, but someday, this will be standard, it will be used to charge up batteries in real cars run with electric motors.

  • of all the miniture engines on you tube , yours and that small v-12. are the best. I personely like yours the best. it sounds perfect. My accolades to you sir!

  • just like a chevy angine in every way, makes a loud noise and runs for only a short amount of time

  • So this runs on gas?

  • How can you be reached? I'm interested in building one of your small blk chevy engines. Do you have any kits available?

  • Thats cool

Can you actually power something with that &

How much hp does it have?

  • tune it up man, id buy that if it were tunned. 1000$ and its sold

  • @fefieiy12345 for 1000$ you'd probably get the crankcase and crankshaft - that would be about it! you can buy a little nitro-V8 (50cc or sth.) from "conley precision" - they cost about 5000$ and it's a mass-product - this one is unique and made by hand! did you really thought someone would sell you an engine like this for almost no money?! stupid people out there!!!

  • i love your starter!!!

  • Finally, honda civic drivers have something they can upgrade to.

  • thats sweat

  • Can u build me one for my gokart

  • It barely has a horsepower. Why would you want one for your gokart?

  • @DemoFly Don't need more than 4 or 5, a 1/3 scale model would suffice and sound way better than the 50-100cc single cyls.

  • Good job, looks really nice

  • Yup runs like a chevy,,,

  • @mespe79 thats a vet, not a chevy

  • @fefieiy12345 Which car manufacturer makes the corvette? Dummy.

  • thouse engine are they only display or can you really use it in a nitro car ...i have a xtm car

  • can you buy one somewhere or did you machine the parts yourself

  • All machined ourselves.

  • better than ford

  • too bad its doesn't give the same horsepower....otherwise this is brilliant!

  • what would you use an engine like this for

  • @TheSunnybuckeye - one hell of an r/c car

  • @TheSunnybuckeye

to put in stuart littles car

  • i think that they really just use them for show. itd b neat to build like a 500cc v8 and throw it on a go cart 4 spd standard trans. i think thatd b amazing

  • is this all custom? if not where can you get the parts to build it.

  • wat do u do with it?

  • lumpy idle :)

  • where have you bougt this engine??

  • I wnna see u put a turbo on it lol

  • sounds like someone has really bad gas

  • now thats what you call a small block :D

  • were did you get that thing

  • is it an LS7 or an LS1?

  • when the motor stalls, what is that sound?

  • Just a guess but maybe water pump?

  • Actually a fuel pump.

  • Isn't that thing carburated?

  • how did u start it off?

is the base a nitro engine and u moved on??

btw cool chuck that into a rc it would fly :)

  • dude thts a killer engine

    not meant to sound sarcastic

  • I looki forward to the next video with interest :)

  • i wanted to started building mini engine like that and i was wondering if it could by done with a cnc machine?

  • I suppose it could be.

  • It deserves a scale radiator...

  • It is on it's way.

  • where would i get a kit like this

  • I take it that was the fuel pump we were hearing whenever it cut out?

  • Yes it was...

  • WHY???

  • Why what?

  • Doesn't run very good.

  • You're right, at that time it did not run very good but the fuel pump issues were resolved and it runs much better.

  • cuz its corvertte's engine :D

  • put tht engine into a 4wd monster truck

  • hilarious

  • adorabile!

  • awesome man. how much did that kit cost?

  • nicht schlecht herr specht

  • just like a full scale chevy, you cant keep em runnin.. rofl

  • rofl its so true

  • Ain't that the Truth!!! If it was a MOPAR engine it would run Forever!

  • why would u pay like several thousand dollar for a 1/16th scale engine? when a full scale one wouldnt cost much more, i mean u could probably get a full second hand corvette for about $6000

  • it's 1/6.

I would put it in a BMF airplane like a P51!

I think it's one of those, "If you have to ask, you wont understand"

  • maybe the block...lol...corvettes are pricy even the older beat to hell ones....

  • seriously... how much hp can it really get out? lol.. j/c...

  • Hi! I love that type of engines!! I live in Greece, does anyone knows how and where could I find those engines and how much will it costs?? pls reply...

  • you cant buy them unless you buy one off somebudy or on ebay but they will run for anout $700 to about $8,000 sorry i wanted to know the same thing till somone told me

  • I searched at e-bay but has nothing. But if I can't buy it,then those guys (or the first got it) how did they get it??? They should buy it from somewhere, right??

  • There are a few places you can get them, google scale v8 engine, they run from 5000 and up

  • the guy made it himself you can't buy it

  • No starter motor? Rubbish! :D (j/k)

    Brilliant work!

  • thats so sick

  • how many horse power

  • Maybe 5 :)

  • that is sweet

  • none hes runing it on air power from a compressor

  • i dought it last or converts to my 69 CAprice

  • how many hp?

  • why does it buzz when it cuts out?

  • That is the fuel pump. We have now replaced it to not make that sound anymore.

  • Hi, that's an impressive feat! I have one question -- the specs on your web page list its displacement as just 1.10 cu in. It seems to me that a true 1/6 scale should have 1/6 the displacement, or 54.5 cu in. Why the big difference?

  • There are many websites out there with cu in calculators. Use Google to find them and plug in the numbers.

  • 3 dimensions divided by 6, so really you'd be dividing by 216, if you weren't using the engine displacement formula. Either way, it's about 1.5 cu in.

  • Timing is off lol just kidding...

I think you need to increase your lift on the intake & exhuast... and go with individual Ehxuast ports leading to 1 pipe on each bank...

but damn man I love the fact that you made this yourself your Master craftsman(Bows)

  • OMG smallest yet... thats sick

  • can somebody tell me where can i get one of those??????

  • seriously!! I want to put it on a pocketbike lol

  • Why does it keep stalling? Not tuned right or something like that.

  • This may sound lazy, but can you buy one instead of making one?

  • Dammit do an LS1 engine next! Please!.

  • if hes makin a 1/6th scale of a Honda engine then he will have to make a 1/6th scale fart cannon and carbon fibre spolier.

  • hahaha, that is true!

  • man your telling the true those things are nothing but that a fart cannon the only good ones is if the whole pipe is the same size. Wouldn't you agree.

  • Wow! put that on a go-cart! How fast do you think a little one would go with it? seriously, like 100 MPH?

  • it would have trouble running a weed eater...

it wasn't made to be put in a vehicle. it was made as a hobby to be shown to guest and sit in a glass case.

  • Are you serious? It looks a lot more powerful than the 5 hp I had on mine as a kid. I don't know shit about cars though. Why wouldn't it run anything?

  • it may look powerful, but the cylinders are smaller than your pinky... and it is only about 6inches long and 3 inches high. it is definitely smaller than a weed eater motor.

  • That's weird because it looks so bad ass. I guess the only thing you could put it in would be a remote controlled car then.

  • it's only 18cc, checked his site

  • thats small but u can get 105 cc ones

  • you should put that in a RC car and then watch it run!

  • hey i remember last time i saw dis vid was in 2007-2008

  • HOLT SHIT!!!! that is so cool

  • Finally, something worth watching on Youtube. This is great! I really liked the website too.

  • where can i get somethin like this?

  • I just wanted to ask the same question, because I search for such a thing for many years

  • make it yourself..

  • It's true. You would have to make this yourself.

  • halo,,where did you get the blueprint??

  • No blueprints. Took measurments off an actual engine.

  • hey, just like the real thing, even the part where the engine keeps on cutting out! lol

all joking aside, thats a sweet scale representation. whats the next step trans?

  • whered you get that

  • now all it needs is a mini fogger kit (that would be like a 1 hp shot of nitrous)haaaaa

  • they should finish the whole car in scale.. that is mad!

  • it does have 8 pistons

  • where do u get those mni engines!?!?!?!

  • how did u make that

  • what is that buzzing as the engine is stalled? pump?

    it is noisy

  • haha o well same thing..it was a joke...didnt really care if it was accurate or not

  • hey there, does anyone know if there is someone in Australia making these and would be willing to give a demonstration

  • I can make you one, do you have any specific motor in mind that you want reproduced? what is your budget?

  • can you build straight six? like a jag motor?

  • dont you mean a datsun motor?

  • no jaguar in the 1960s all there cars had the awsome XK twin cam over head valve straight six

  • Sure. You could scale down just about any motor as long as you had the time.

  • he used the Sunoco 87 octane, that's why.

  • what model is it of

    L82?

  • impresionante

  • another stupid hillbilly not realizing the options

  • Jesus Christ, can you people get a damn grip? It's just a garage project! How can you even imagine that a 1/6th scale engine is anywhere near representative of the real thing? That shows how little you know about engines. Of course it keeps dying! You can only scale an engine down so much before it won't run at all. Any 1/6th scale engine, Chevy, Ford, Toyota, whatever, would do the same! I think it's pretty cool that this person MADE A WORKING CAR ENGINE IN 1/6TH SCALE!

  • A larger flywheel would help considerably, yes scaled down does compound other issues.

  • actually doesnt have to be larger in diameter at all, just a heavier flywheel would do the trick, but yuo gotta make the more of the weight is towards the outside of the flywheel and not the center though...... Or it could just be that he's having trouble with flame out's though, but he did eventually get this engine to run right though... it;s in another vid

  • i have a bigger version of this in my big scale rc car custom made and its for drift

  • duh no its not to big to fit in a rc car you can get huge ass ones

  • love to have that on a hair dryer.

  • idle screw is set to low

  • what would be sick in a nitro rc car

  • then it wouldnt be a nitro rc car anymore would it?? it would be a corvette v8 rc car:P

  • That is sick! its like that guy who made an exact 1/3rd scale ferrari, where if you had a 1/3rd scale person they could actually drive it :)

  • Why does it keep dying?? Kickass little engine, but why can't it stay running?

  • mixture was probably wrong

  • dont you think its to big to fit in rc? But if he did.... sweet!

  • what do they cost ?

has anyone put one in a RC car ?

  • You have so badly gotta put that in an RC car...

  • Hi Jim! My name is Tyler and i worked at Napa in kettle about 7 years ago. I have always told people about the engine parts you used to bring in to show Tony and I.I don't know if you remember me or not. Somehow i stumbled on to this vid and knew right away that that was yours. Just wanted to say congrats and hope all is well! P.S. This man Is a wizard! All gear heads should take a bow!

  • that is beast dude, awesome!

  • cool what HP

  • wow, absolutely beautiful!!!! congratulations, you are a master mechanic and builder.

  • This is cool, Tell me more. How did you make the exhaust manifolds and the water pumb, and generator. How much time and money do you have invested in it.

  • The headers were made by welding several pieces together and sandblasting for the 'cast' look. The water pump was actually cast from aluminum and then drilled out for water passages. The generator, or alternator, does not actually work at this time. All told not a whole lot of money involved but a LOT of time. Over 7000 hours in 7 years to get it to the point that it would fire with an additional 1000 hours since to get it to the point it is at today.

  • WOW, do you have a web site with pictures of the construction. There is something about this particular one that fascinates me. It's not like the other mini V8's I see. I would love to see some pictures or more videos.

  • what kind of gas dose it use?
