@buddaman200522 cardinals fans know baseball.... signing pujols to that deal wasn't smart LA got that huge media deal thats why they signed him for way way more then what was reasonable for us... the cards are a great team and led the NL in batting average even when pujols only hit .299... we have 3 infielder prospects that are top 10 at their positions and ALOT of great young pitchers... we didnt need pujols for that much, we already got his best 11 years of his career,,, we are fine

No offense, but this contract is ridiculous, and I know what's gonna happen. AP will be worth the $25 million a year for the next 4 years. Maybe 5. Then people will start to think he's overpaid. Around year 7 or 8 people will start to feel irritated and hostile. He'll be overpaid and over the hill with totally insufficient stats to justify the money and people will start to hate him just like they hate A-Rod. And in 10 years they'll be happy to be rid of him.
