@tarunpai, depends on what your looking for. The N900 is basically a pc in your pocket. If you into surfing the net and like chatting like on the computer where everything shows up per chat client then go for the N900. Gpodder on the N900 is good for getting videos and movies for free. The camera is good as well not in the same league as the N8. However for video calling you can use Skype and Google talk and it works very well

I don't recommend anyone to buy N900 at this moment since MeeGo OS is coming up and most likley it won't run on a N900 only by a GUI but an OS . So hold off on Nokia until MeeGo devices get out.

hey dude sorry for the late reply :D I don't think it ever will go cdma i'm afraid. Not sure about the n920 (I think thats going to be it) coming out this year with Maemo 6. ;)

browser also supports double tap to zoom and you can also use the volume button to zoom in/out. The spiral effect is cool but not as efficient as the other methods

Great and impressive review, I like it lots, however I have one and I notice that mine is well... not up to par. for example, I got no Firefox, I also have a different video and contact interface, maybe is a different configuration or maybe I need to flash my firmware.

I also notice, no video conference like the N810 and N800. I hope that Nokia fixes the internal camera soon. I have "mirror" which uses the itnernal camera.

I would love to see a light application that uses the LED flash.

Everything is awesome in this phone, although need new firmware to fix some bugs.

The keyboard is far best i ever used. Fits comfortably.

Only con is the battery life. I get a full day with modest use with wifi always on and 3G (T-Mobile).

If nokia release higher mAh battery, that'll be great.

i was thinking to the N900 or the htc hd2 but i noticed it got a lot of trouble here something from the gsmarenaforum part 1 "I got my HD2 in early December, from the first batches. I moved up from Touch which is an excellent and user friendly phone to HD2 thinking it would be an even better phone. I have been experiencing nothing but problems with HD2 and either I am doing everything wrong or the phone has series problems. It crashes all the time, is no longer sending and receiving text

well, i dunno. the HD2 has 1 ghz, N900 has 600 mhz cpu + 430 mhz GPU. HTC has bigger screen, but i dont need screen as big as that.

i dont need multi touch. n900 has qwerty keyboard. A LOT of memory.

HTC hd2, as i understand, has only 65k colors( wikipedia says that)

@Saints504boy Hmm...well the HD2 is nice, I had a play. I prefer the N900 personally as I don't like Win Mobile. The browser is definitely better on the N900...Try both if you can before making a decision.

Great work with this video. Have been playing with N900 now for a about 10 days and really liking this. It does have it's problems, but then it's still very much on the Android 1.0 phase. I'm really happy with the device, but something for the future buyers to think of.

The terminal gives you command line root access (if you want it) to the very beating heart of your Linux phone. Just about everything. Show me an iPhone app that'll do that.... :D

Fine! Sometimes the play button 'plays up' a little, but remove the widget and pop it back on the screen and it works. Bizarre. It'll get fixed pretty sharpish I'd think. This is the most stable, fast UI and intitial (initial to the public, at least) firmware I've used on ANY Nokia device, btw.
