  • I canI can watch porn, watch the door, masturbate and text all at the same time

  • Mine can! I can dance & iron at the same time, & I have proof.

  • Chuck Norris can do a minimum of 63 tasks at the same time.

  • a second thought ,singing whilst druming is not possible. Try to drum and sing a piece of music that you never know, and you will see how hard that is. The point of multi tasking is a concept on facing two new ideas at the same time. Muscle memory is another thing.

  • playing instrument and singing is actually following the same tempo. The above multitasking is about thinking two different set of ideas sitmutaneously. If anyone can multi task, he can play play continously game like driving game whilst memorizing his textbook.

  • what about people that can sing and strum/pick the guitar at the same time? isn't THAT MULTITASING. fuck off saying multi-tasking is a myth. it's something that you can train your brain to do! there was a man called Harry Kahne who could do multiple things at once, he could copy a quotation from a book on blackboard backwards while talking to his audience. and claimed he could do atleast 6 things at once. he also had a book with exercises to develop that brainpower. book called multiple mentalty

  • @Aydrianlol Playing and singing at the same time really isn't that hard though. I'm pretty the playing is just automatic in that case. I couldn't explain that other thing you brought up though loll

  • @Aydrianlol The problem is that when do you consider a things or group of things a task?

For example, playing multiple notes in a piano is one or multiple tasks?

Playing a song on a guitar and singing the same song would be the same task.

  • Install Intel Processor i15 to you head and you can do multitasking~ xD

  • well to be fair I'd say we can't multitask new tasks that needs a lot of brain processing to finish. Such as typing report and reading sherlock novels at the same time. But we can multitask when the "task" itself has already become reflexes or abstraction. Such as walking, running, or drinking a cup of coffee while typing report.

  • I can multitask. I use all my fingers to type. That counts for something.

  • He was chewing and on the phone at the same time

  • Multitasking is what we do in the busy kitchen!

  • You've obviously never attempted to walk and talk at the same time.

Also, neurologists have found that you brain is actively predicting what's most likely to happen, and what decisions you'll make before you consciously make them. That's a whole other level of multitasking, when you combine the "predicting the future" with the obvious "running the entire fregging body".

  • Once I tried to brush my teeth and take a piss at the same time. After that the whole bathroom was wet. It seems I´m not that talented in multi tasking.

  • Non-engineers cannot multi-task.

  • . . .so Blody, is that why your punctuation is absent and you spelled "concentration" wrong?

  • yes your brain can multitask only you need to have 50% concetration on things you are doing

  • I don't know man...who knows? There are times where my Multi-tasking is very effective and there are times where it's not, but here's a list of what I've done in the past and thinking about doing these things again on the weekend.

Listened to Lewis Black and Dante's Inferno Audio book, while playing Mario Kart.

    Listened to music, while Exercising

Listened to Podcast, while checking my email

Listening to music, while cleaning out the fish tank

Listening to audio books while I do dishes.

  • we don't really have a great enough understanding of the brain to determine weather or not you can

  • i find that i can have two conversations at once if they aren't in the same language (primary language=english, secondary language= finnish).

  • Featured video: How to multitask effectively - Multitasking tips

I just love how the world defies biology.

  • For those in the comments who seem confused, you can't multi task with your ATTENTION. You cannot pay attention to more than one thing at a time. You can switch between things as much as you want, but that takes time and does slow things down. The reason some types of multitasking work (like walking and talking) is because they did not both require your attention (in that example, walking is an automatic and reflexive process, letting you put your attention to talking). You can't multi task!

  • @Jotto999 When the brain memorizes something (i.e. walking) and remembers it well enough so it doesn't have to think, it doesn't require the brain's use to perform those tasks. We've learned how to walk and talk thus the only requirement of the brain is to think about what we're going to say while walking and talking.

  • @blackops417 Yes, that's what I was saying.

  • @Jotto999 I know. I just had to be complicated. lol.

  • LIES!!!!!!!

  • @fabrizioorbezo chatting is one task, doing it twice or more at the same time doesn' t turn it in multitasking anyway.

  • well, I am reading and watching this whilst the "dragonforce- through fire and flames" song is running in my head

  • Does ambidextrous writing and drumming considered as multi tasking?

  • He's multitasking?

The only problem is that he bumps into ALL these problems.

  • the internet is right now making me watch this video and not work on finals. awesome.

  • oh really?

    men can't multi task?

    EVERYONE GO WATCH THIS "watch?v=qTU84uwyN5w"

    watch?v=qTU84uwyN5w

    watch?v=qTU84uwyN5w

  • then how come some people can play guitar and sing at the same time ??

  • @cometothepartay because after so much time training to do that, they have those two different functions wired in different areas of their brain.

  • @cometothepartay Ya, really. What's their definition of multitasking? Here's a video of a guy playing bass and guitar parts at the same time.

    /watch?v=4WdvVddtcBg&feature=related

  • @plusmin09 ok but now have him work and on an algebra problem and cook dinner. that is what they mean by multitasking.

  • haha, all men.

  • Those aren't good examples, walking and chewing gum. Holding breath and swimming.

Ball and swing bat. Those are the kind of statements made by ignorant or oppressive people.

The act of working is far more demanding than those activities, particularly if the work requires a bit of concentration or focus.

If in watching the ball, and your cell phone rang, you may not be able to actually hit the ball.

It's why talking on your cell is worse than being drunk while driving.

  • @wisdomtoknow is this a good example?

    watch?v=qTU84uwyN5w

    watch?v=qTU84uwyN5w

  • @Th0usandMaster does not exist.

  • @Th0usandMaster does not exist.

  • Hahahaha . . . point well made!

  • I can walk and chew gum ... I must not be human.

I can watch a ball and swing a bat ... super human?

I can hold my breath and swim ... and I've lived to tell about it

  • Guys, watch porn. That is the ultimate multi tasking.

  • I am multitasking. Im eating BBQ ribs while watching this video and a korean movie.

  • Ok, if it can't multi-task then why is drumming possible, our brains have to send out different beats to different parts of our body, look up travis orbin, and you'll know exactly what I mean.

  • hahaha! He grabs the banana instead of the phone. I love that scene. Too real for me.

  • @michellehays

    "...banana instead of the phone."

Made me laugh hard. I wonder why? Hmmm

  • @chrispaquette I would like to see that on youtube :). post it pls

    or STFU :>

  • Actually brain can perform multitasking, your heart beat does not stop when you are thinking or moving :P, and guess which organ controls it -_-.

that was just an example of simple multitasking.

But dr .Medina was referring to the part of the brain we control, I hope so.

the book is also nice I recommend it

  • It's not the brain what controls heartbeat. Your heart would beat with your head cut off because it has its own nerve center(google "sinus"). Ask any doctor, they will tell you. (It would stop if hormones stopped to go there, but for a long period of time it could go on.)

Thats why braindead people can donate organs. Elementary school lesson, dude

  • Yes it would continue to beat, but the part that controls the rate of heart beat is in the brain.

Elementary school lesson that is your backup of this stupidity?

Look up medulla oblongata, and I am not dude, Ii don't do drugs.

  • Okay "not dude" I have actually saw braindead animal with heart still beating. Stupidity: wtf? they are facts, and yes you do drugs (they are not supposed to be bad ones) like every single human on this rock. I wrote about direct control, (brain has indirect control over it) so i were right, maybe you're too but not fully, that's what I wanted to illuminate in my 1st comment.

  • @kaotik1981 ok lets agree that we are both partially right, further arguing seems pointless.

    best of luck

  • Nope. We can't multi-task at all but we can switch between different tasks very quickly so it gives you illusion of doing multi-tasking.

Also, you can do some simple multi-tasking that involves doing something without thinking about it. Like walking and talking.

  • baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

  • And your spelling and grammar reflect your mastery.

  • @frharry Ironic how you start your sentence with the word "and".

  • This is not true. Brain is the most powerful thing in human body. We can multitask with it very easily.

  • 2 things are mixed here: a person that multi-tasks and the brain that mt. Let alone the subjest of a person mt ing, but the brain is ALWAYS multitasking. When you ride a bicicle, you can think about what you are having for dinner, see adog crossing the street, listen to music and also wach traffic. Not wise, dangerous, but the brain is doing all those things at the same time, even things in the subconcience. The brain is one of the most wonderfull and underastimated thing men ever encounterd.

  • @MennerMovies I agree

  • i can too

  • yeah what ever. Your brain seems to have a HUGE Ego. Your the man man. Really and next time when you try to post a smart comment on a good true video.. Please leave the racism at home..

  • You have no idea what color this person is and it is awful to make such a comment. Next time try not to use racism to fight against racism. I know it takes some intelligence to do.

  • Ahh first this guy looks white to be. As in the color white not race you dumb piece of shit. and like i explain earier to the first dumb ass it is a joke like Trix . Silly rabbit trix are for kids

  • You need to take an anger management course. First, I wasn't talking to you. I was talking about the vile comment made by VVILLEM9. She/he seemed to have jumped to conclusions about what color you were and instead of focusing his comment on YOU, he attacked every black American in this country.

That's the problem with racism see. You can see yourself as an individual, but judge others as a group. It's time we judged everyone as an individual

    AND YOU NEED HELP.

  • Ahh i c! Well i do know i need help! I have been needing help for a long time. Are you going to pay for my psychologist?

  • YES IT CAN

  • NEVER i will always go talk on msn while doing my report

  • true, if you are like: typing and on the phone you get shitty typing and a "uuuuuuuumm yes... what did you say?" conversation

  • true. I cant skype and chat with 2 people at the same time but I can chat with up to 3 people sometimes and still get every word in every convo. And even accomplish having a good conversation with all 3. I guess it depends on what youre doing. Like we can do the same task more times at once. Such as Chatting or typing or well you name it.

  • lol I see this everyday at work, lol the Undertaker working in a cubicle, haha

  • The guy in the video is thrashing, spending more time switching his attention than actually doing anything. Yet, we can handle a large number of tasks in a short period of time. Perhaps success lies in bundling small, complementary tasks and doing them sequentially.

  • from a distance he looks like the undertaker.

  • I think you are 100% correct.
