  • Oh, for crying out loud.

  • Mazzy Star is Bitchin'..however, this is the Sundays and everyone knows it. Happy New Year everyone...good luck cuz we all need it!

  • In truth Mazzy Star did this song too

  • nice try tho

  • HOW come the person who posted this video hasn't FIXED the credits to this song yet????? This is The Sundays NOT Mazzy Star. Helloooooooooooooooooooo!!

  • This is definitely NOT Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star. Most assuredly Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays. Both have beautiful voices, but at least give appropriate credit.

  • Harriet Wheeler/The Sundays

    youtube dot com/watch?v=u9lEd5bIbbQ

  • THIS ISN'T MAZZY STAR!!!

  • Yup! This is The Sundays....not Mazzy Star. You almost fooled me for a second.

  • This is the Sundays.... not mazzy star....

  • This is the Sundays.... not mazzy star....

  • dude this is the sundays

  • Pretty sure this ain't mazzy

  • Heh. I would have guessed Mazzy Star, too.

  • Beautiful song. Tinny sound on this recording is unfortunate.

  • You know you could just corect the artist and be doen with all this mind numbing banter. Just trying to help!

  • It is Hope Sandaval

  • @MrLazzzlo Harriet Wheeler would disagree with you.

  • This isnt mazzy star, I just wanted to say it too.

  • There seems to be some confusion, this song is by The Sundays and not Mazzy Star

  • not mazzy star

  • Okay, Stop repeating '' this is the sundays, not mazzy star '' Well done for spotting that, But I don't care who is singing it. I rather listen to the lyrics than worry about the singer. Okay? Now stop bloody repeating yourselves. Everyone gets the image. So stfu and enjoy the music.

  • @SIinkeyGaming its not by mazzy star

  • @HaroldEarlMusic No shit sherlock.

  • @SIinkeyGaming Well said mate...well said!!!!

  • @SIinkeyGaming Ok, stop ranting about enjoying music. Well done for getting some good out of the video. But some of us car who is singing it. I rather know what version this is than worry about downloading the wrong one Okay? Now stop bloody ranting about it. Everyone knows you like it. So stfu and let others find out who really sings it.

  • This is the Sundays, not Mazzy Star

  • Sundays

  • @makesyougohmm, you know you can correct the title of the file, right?

  • This isn't Mazzy Star. Its The Sundays.

  • Yes, it is the Sundays and the singers name is Harriet Wheeler

  • This song was written by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger......It's on the Stones album "sticky fingers"

  • more like the rolling stones!!!

  • From mazzystar.nu:

"There are always many questions about these songs(Wild horses and Sweet Jane" ndr). "Why can't I find them on any of the albums or singles?" etc. The answer is that these songs have never been recorded by Mazzy Star. The songs that people think is performed by Mazzy Star is in fact covers by other bands.

"Wild Horses" is covered by a band called "The Sundays". It's on their album "Blind". It's not clear who deserves the original writing credit for "Wild Horses".

  • @Fotoinbottiglia

The credit for the writing of this song is actually a lot more clear than you would think: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, circa 1971, Sticky Fingers album.

  • @TeaBagOfTruth1776 Correct you are!

  • This IS The Sundays....but yeah I do LOVE Mazzy Star..their music is very soothing to me right now...

  • It's soo much clearer w/ Mazzy singing this rather than the Sunday's singing it. No? But she almost sounds like her though. lol funny! If you loved the movie "Fear" raise your thumbs up! Sexy sexy, but crazy crazy he was! lol :)

  • sundays

  • Sorry, but I agree this IS The Sundays

  • As mentioned -- this is The Sundays. Not Mazzy Star.

  • Is it mazzy or not? Can I at least pretend its mazzy?????? Sombody please tell me what to think!!! AAAAAAAAHHHhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

  • @scheshire7 It is the Sundays with Harriett Wheeler singing. Anyone who says different is ignorant of its origin, or a troll, or to stupid to be qualified to answer.

Mazzy Star may do a version of this, but this song is not it, this is the Sundays, here is the official video for proof . /watch?v=u9lEd5bIbbQ

Notice that it is Harriet in the video singing, not Hope Sandoval.

  • this IS Mazzy Star......I have the cd.

  • not Mazzy Star

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • this song is timeless and star makes it her own its beautiful

  • lol... sundays .. not even close to hope sandoval's voice.

  • Nice song, but not Mazzy Star.

  • You dipshits...... this is the SUNDAYS..... NOT mazzy Star aka Hope Sandoval.... you are a retard. Why didnt you research the song before postng it as the wrong band... lol... no idea

  • It all could have been different Mr.walker. you should have allowed nature to take it's course....but in the end, it will anyway....SO LET IN ME IN THE FUCKING HOUSE!!!

  • @bravemurderday122287 - lol this song ALWAYS reminds me of "Fear"

  • @ZOMBrIttnEy haha yea ,me too!

  • This is Harriet Wheeler NOT Hope Sandavol

  • oops. I was lookin for Ringo Star....

  • oh dear god, this is mazzy star's singer.

they covered this song by the sundays. its practically karaoke.

    proof;

Listen to the lyric "You know I can't let you, just slide through my hands".

in the original sundays version she says "You know I can't let you, slide through my hands.

the girl from the sundays also has a better vibrato.

  • wow! thought Mazzy Star actually covered this song, as soon as I clicked it, I was like, "hey, this is the sundays!"

  • @inde658 Same here...

  • Is there a way to encourage the poster of this video to fix his or her title?

  • i don't understand why people think this is Mazzy Star!

  • I love Mazzy's voice

  • No it's not any of those!

    It's Dee Shnider!

  • It is mazzy star singing, but it was originally a rolling stones song...so you are all idiots.

  • @tdconner 1. Mazzy Star is the name of a BAND not the name of a person.

    2. This is a Stones cover done by the band The Sundays.

  • @tdconner It was originally a Rolling Stones song? Really? I never knew that. Thought it was quite a bit older than that

  • @Omfgwhtavid You thought it was older than 1969?

  • @pomo58 Yup, I didn't think it was originally a Rolling Stones song though. I imagined it to be really old

  • WTF...this is the Sunday. This is not like being able to tell the difference between Peter North and Ron Jeremy

  • This IS the sundays. i don't think mazzy star ever covered this

  • who sings the one off the movie fear ?? anyone ?

  • @jcthomas521 this one

  • Dumbasses, this is The Sundays

  • the sunday did this cover too , gotta love both versions however mazzy has a more haunting voice

  • who ever thinks this is the Sundays is just mis-informed check the net

  • the sundays made a video for this song. it's on youtube. that should answer all questions about who this is.

  • Isn't this the Sundays?

  • I like how above makesyougohmm's name, it says Mazzy Star but below the likes/dislikes bar, it says The Sundays

  • Woa! guys chillascopic time out-a-saurus ----- she is seriously sounding like the 'Sundays' - now redirect your rmail to me Adamtherocket@hotmaill.com and we can 'discuss' this subject further.

  • Sorry non believers, this is truely Mazzy Star. The Sundays are similar but you can't mess with Hope

  • I dont care what anyone says, Mazzy Star does an awesome job with this song!

  • NOT Mazzy Star!!!! This is The Sundays!!!!

  • Love Mazzy, BUT this is The Sundays. lol.

  • @VYQXN You're soo right! lol but she almost sounds like the lead singer on this one in some parts of the song. It's a little more clearer in the words. lol don't you think? lol :) Loved the movie Fear w/ Markie Mark! sexy sexy! lol

  • I do love this song but it is THE SUNDAYS. I have the disc, and also every Mazzy Star for proof. I love The Rolling Stones version too. Just a great song.

  • how dare all of you, you fuckers, i love this song and she loves her horses, she's only 18 months old so she believes what her dad tells her, and this is not it. she also likes iggle piggle. now i like having time with my daughter but iggle piggle aint it.

  • how dare all of you, you fuckers, i love this song and she loves her horses, she's only 18 months old so she believes what her dad tells her, and this is not it.

  • Love how the song is called wild horses, but the photography shows horses behind fences, and those that are not near fences are far too well groomed to even be slightly feral :)

  • @psychozo: They were wild once. Good enough for you? lol

  • This just in 15 to 20 years later~ Don't forget to have in your moral good collection of music the sounds of Mazzy Star and The Sundays. End of discussion. No more pontificating!

  • Whoever it is, they took out the one interesting chord in the chorus. Horrible version.

  • I believe this is the version of the song that was played on Psych...? I love the Rolling Stones original, but this is a beautiful cover!

  • wtf this is the sundays, not no mazzy star

  • this is the Sundays

  • ... this is not Hope's voice! :(

  • kool song lovee thee movie.........

  • kool song lovee thee movie

  • this is not a mazzy star . this is the sundays

    3

  • I keep listening to this song on a loop..

  • Hope and Harriet both have beautiful unique voices. It's really crazy how any one who loves and is a fan of either/both singers can mix up this song as being Mazzy Star. They don't sound at all alike. God Bless The Sundays and Mazzy Star!!

  • Why are there so many videos pretending Mazzy Star sings this song? It's The Sundays! Track 12 on the album "Blind"!

  • @23aztek Guys, let's upvote this comment until it's #1. It's important that people who visit the video know the actual act behind the song.

  • Hope is truely amazing.

  • LOL I found this song some where and it was marked as being sung by Joan Osborne. Sounds like no one really knows LOL.

  • yep the sundays....I know for fact...biggest fan here :-)~

  • Doesn't even sound like mazzy Star! hahha!

  • the uploader doesn't even care about truth

  • Give it a rest already,Harriet and Hope both have beautiful voices, regardless of trivial BS.......

  • This is such a good song is so beautifull and peacfull. I love mazzy staer:)

  • aw I have this album, I love The Sundays. I heard this on that movie "Fear" long time ago :)

  • yeahhh they sound similar, but sorry; this is the Sundays XD

  • and the most shitty thing about this is the hundereds of people saying this is the sundays and not mazzy star, and this song is STILL here called 'Wild Horses - Mazzy Star' ...

  • Yes, people are correct. This is not Mazzy Star, but The Sundays. Great song though.

  • Awesome, how did you came up with the idea of this video?

  • How could anybody mix up these bands? Beats me.

  • Sundays are great , great version of this song. However not mazzy star - another wonderful band with hope sandoval.

  • Um....Its a Rolling Stone's song. 1971 Sticky Fingers album. Sigh.

  • @sunnicali

    .... sigh indeed.

  • @sunnicali Um....Pretty sure everyone knows that. The confusion was over who is singing this cover.

  • duh.

    sundays....

  • The Sundays, not Mazzy Star. Whoops!

  • I get "high" off her voice...

  • nice horces

  • Sundays... not Mazzy... although, she has some other very amazing songs..

  • @TheTexasDixie Yaaa it's "they" not "she"..... Mazzy Star is a group not a solo singer

  • I like the Sunday's version way better than the Rolling stone's.

  • FAIL

  • is this the Sundays or is it Mazzy Star?

  • I love this song so much :')

  • yeah this is NOT MAZZY it's the SUNDAYS!!!

  • 100% the sundays. This is wrong.

  • DUDE this is The Sundays NOT Mazzy Star!!!!!

  • I think look at posters name ,,,,,, hmmmm

  • I think look at posters name ,,,,,, hmmmm

  • The Sundays not Mazzy Star. C'mon, get it right.

  • i love this song so much <3

  • If people don't believe this is the Sundays by now - please do a search right here on Youtube for "the sundays wild horses", and then LISTEN - there's even videos of them doing it, and there can be no doubt. Proof is in the puddin' beetchezzz!

  • Can't agree more - this misnomer has plagued the internet for years....mostly because most musical f**ktards can't tell the difference between Harriett Wheeler and Hope Sandoval.

    Harriett's got bigger tits......

  • NO CONTROVERSY. THIS IS THE 'SUNDAYS PEOPLE', off their 1992 album Blind. Both 'Mazzy Star' and 'The Sundays' are equally good but confusing the two is like saying Jeff Buckley sings Judes "I Know" . It also shows that many people out there are overly mystified by surface value rather than paying attention to details. If you were you to listen to the bulk of either Artists, the distinction would be completely clear. I can't believe how little people put effort into paying attention these days.

  • @klargusa There is no goddamn Controversy!!!!! You people are so retarded! We get the fucking point! You don't have to spam the message over and over again. The Sundays not Mazzy Star. We understand. It's not like he can change the title, so leave it the hell alone.

  • @Powerskunk2 LOL!!! was thinking the same thing....

  • This is in NO way Mazzy Star. It's the Sundays from top to bottom. Go search the Sundays Wild Horses on Allmusic.com and listen to the snippet there. It's this exact song, this exact version.

  • If yall wanna talk about giving credit where credit is due, then give credit to the Rolling Stones for writing the song in the first place please and thank you.

  • @TeamCullen100prct I'm sure we all give credit to the Stones for writing it... but nobody's trying to deny them that credit, this is about who this version is by!

  • This is in fact The Sundays, not hope Sandoval (aka Mazzy Star).

  • Yup, tis the Sundays, though it would have been interesting to have heard a version of this by mazzy star

  • It is the Sundays.. I had this discussion the other night.. the person I was discussing it with swore that Mazzy Star did Wild Horses and Sweet Jane.. she was mixing up The SUndays, Cowboy Junkies, and Mazzy Star into one lump.. and she insists that she is correct.. ugh..I only argue when I am right.. ;-) I have the CD's.. and some LP's.. funny.. went to see The Sundays when this was their hit.. they did not do it.. not even for encore....

  • Definitely The Sundays

  • yea this is the sundays people

  • it is definitively mazzy star. i got the cd.

  • @lcocelote Go listen to that CD (which one of theirs is it?) right this very instant and listen to this song again and say again if it's 'definitively' Mazzy Star. I just did that very thing, right now, with both the Sundays' album Blind, on which this song is track 12, and their single of Goodbye, on which it's track 2. This very song.

This CD you have of Mazzy Star--is it something you burned from someone else, or do you have the original? Because, in this case, you're definitively wrong.

  • @airy3que you´re totally right. I thought it was on "among my swan" album (got the original). Went throught it and "wild Horses" isn´t there. My mistake.

  • ummmm is this not the Sundays????? This is so not Mazzy Star! Mazzy Star is awesome but this song is epic and is The Sundays!

  • listening to this brings back so many memories....just wish i could turn back time....get her back and be happy together

  • My ex sang this to me almost every night...damn I miss hearing her sing it to me..

  • I think the uploader is dead

    lol

  • Now I love Hope but she could not have sang this, in fact Mazzy Star never covered this song. It’s Harriet wheeler from The Sundays, untouched in singing technique and beauty of voice. I thing the uploader is dead because he or she does not change the title.

  • exelente version de hild hoses

  • agreed. Mazzy didnt do this one. but a great one anyway

  • Mazzy Star have never recorded "Wild Horses"... Info: Mazzy Star themself :)

Look at the official Mazzy Star site
