If we humans keep on like this and if we would give our machines a Core 6 AI that could happen. Although there is no Core 6 AI at the moment, right now it is only Sci-Fi. Core 5 exist, so I guess there isn't a very long time until Core 6 is implemented.

I said, as I am a software developer, that IF we'd make a Core 6 AI, and put it in a capable machine, then it IS possible, as a Core 6 AI would make the machine have the same kind of intelligence as a human, just not as human as a human.

Make some Googling on Core 6 AI and get the ability to think logical so you'd get where I'm going. Won't happen in a near future.

A computer is a calculator, a calculator "thinks" logical. So, lets say we'd give a computer a learning AI and a free will, lets ASSUME we do, if we then give them a rule not to hurt human beings, and do everything for human welfare, then they would either malfunction or put us in a curfew. Why? Because it is just logical. Think of it, we don't take care of our health, we live in pollution, WE kill ourselves.

yes, indeed, Quasi and Moxi are real robots, and they can talk, they are extremely advanced, but they don't have enough Artificial Intelligence to actually talk on they're own yet, in this video they're being controlled by a human.

however, sometimes in may 2009, the university that created him stated that moxi and quasi will both have complex enough AI to be able to carry on simple to moderately complex conversations. the world just keeps on progressing.

I am surprised you are using the name Quasi for your robot. In 1989 i developed a family of robots called QUASI (see video response above). They were on display for many years (at Ars Electronica for example). Since the mid 90s there is some documentation about the project on the net. So either you have not done your homework properly before choosing that name or you are using someone elses ideas without giving him credit. Maybe you want to get in touch with me and let me know how this happend.

basically you are both right, the robots can be controlled by AI and a human operator at the same time. The operator can then guide the AI through complex situations or speak for the robot.
