  • The issue isnt the strings or the pick, its the muting. Unless the bass is set up horribly, I cant imagine anything having so little sustain without constantly muting it, which just sounds bad.

  • I'm so jealous of your Rick! I want one soooo freakin bad!

  • @LegoBricKing Learn to read a comment, JACKASS!!!

  • "Don't use a pick on a bass!" That is the STUPIDEST statement ever. Morons, all of you!

  • I agree 100%

  • @argus525 Chris Squire plays a Rick too, and he uses a pick. If you hear his playing, you wouldnñt say he is an idiot.

  • hey! well done, last note "B"

  • Use flatwound! No meat here, just strings noises.

Anyway, nice playing! Try TI 344 strings, you won't be disappointed.

  • You play it the way you want to play it Powerreplay. I just got a Rick and it is sweet.

  • also id love to know where you found that beauitiful rickenbacker?

  • No mirror tricks, I'm a lefty. I bought the Rick at Dirk Witte in Amsterdam. That was in 1995 when he was the official dealer in the Netherlands. Luckily he had a left Rick in my favorite color.

  • either your a lefthanded, beatles loving bass player (like myself), or the video has been inverted?

  • I do use my fingers....to hold the pick. Usermanual doesn't tell it is forbidden to use a pick.

Using a pick on a Rick at the PICKguard sounds warm and trebly. Love it and will continue to use it, just like Paul did and will do. Thanks

  • @gus23a This is a rickenbacker...

  • WHY??????????????????

  • Very tasteful.
