I wonder why they would choose the exact opposite color of Super Sonic's form. I mean, why couldn't they make Scourge gold when he turns super? That's what confuses me.
Well, if you look at the color wheel, you will see that on the other side of yellow, is purple. That is a clear example, but they explain it as they were following tradition. Something about Sonic's inverse color is yellow, so Scourge's inverse color is purple.

@ScourgetheHedgehog17 Well the thing is, that only Scourge and Sonic are inverse. If that rule was true, than Super Shadow would be white, and Super Silver would still be gray or silver (Those have no inverts). But Shadow and Silver are gold, like Sonic. So why not Scourge? That is the confusion.
Maybe because Scourge is from the anti universe. Unlike Shadow and Silver who have been seen to be from the Prime universe. Doesn't seem too confusion to me.
I'm okay with purple but IF they did make him lighter..poor baby would be pink! OMFG *dies* I'd hate Archie and never read another comic if they went that low or even consider working for them.

Super Scourge is purple, just so ya know. I photoshopped the cover he appears on to see what he would look like red, and he looks a lot better.
Also, that's off. The white part of his eyes is black as Super Scourge.
GOD i hate that he's purple. Purple has always been a more feminine color. In small amounts, it can be cool, in moderate amounts, it can be regal, but in large amounts, like Super Scourge, it just looks girly, so it's hard to take Super Scourge Seriously.
They are trying to make it look like a "silhouette" of Super Scourge. In order to do that, some parts need to be white (or a different color) just to show form. That would explain the eye not being black here, or else we wouldnt be able to see the "serious/angry" look.
I kind of like the purple coloring. An original way to show a super form, instead of golden yellow. Plus, his shade of purple is kind of dark. Just be glad that they didnt use a lighter shade.

scourge has BLUE eyes. SUPER scourge has red eyes.

it's more of a hot purple than a dark, and that's what bothers me.
I mean, good lord, the editor of the comic described super scourge as "Pinky-purple"
Not the most intimidating color,lol.
But then again, if Spaz and Harvo were still doing the covers, he's look intimidating no matter WHAT color he was
