Interesting--guess I've been hiding under a rock... hadn't heard of "Chocolate Rain" until I looked up this commercial just to figure out the song.

I was thinking it sounded like a riff on Nina Simone's "Sinnerman," especially around the middle part of the 10 minute version.

What's funny is that, if I'm not mistaken, you can get away with a jingle like this one as long as it's at least 10% different than any original song. Would have gone without being noticed if not for the fact that Chocolate Rain was viewed by millions and millions of people globally. Shame on the writer for not realizing that it sounds familiar... or that it went without being noticed by a friend. Talk about getting RIPPED..! Tay should probably file a complaint with ASCAP & Sue Nissan too...!

No you're not, this is close to chocolate rain, it is just broken chords, precisely like chocolate rain, and i think it is in the same key, which is way people continuously seem to get this song confused with chocolate rain's, but in reality, with a good musical ear, anyone can easily tell these 2 songs are completely different

yeah, people just don't know. they hear something that sounds similar and think its the same thing. these two songs are different. chocolate rain might actually be in a diff. key...but it wouldn't matter, because they are different. i was actually looking up this commercial to find out what this music was.

hahaha....my brother an I always make fun of this commercial...and it's on all the time! we always have to change it......the first time we heard it, it was instantly like, "hey, that's chocolate rain!"

a couple months ago i was trying to figure out what youtube video that commercial sounded like. I searched and searched, but couldn't figure it out. the comercial aired today again, and boom it hit me. I guess I'm not the only one to think this way.

What made it worse is that i work at a tv station and had to hear it over and over
