  • Hi there,

Nice cover! And thanks for these chords. I did not find the tablature online, so I decided to write my own one. I cannot release it here (characters limitations), but if you need it, please send me a private message. I'll forward it to you.

    Cheers,

  • Nicely done I enjoyed it.

  • not a bad cover. I liked it a hell of a lot better than that flogging molly crap cover

  • @manofthehour91 paddy's lament by flogging molly is a completely differnt song.

  • Awesome, about time someone does this song justice. One of my favorite irish songs and im tired of seeing people fuck it up lol.

  • very good cover, Nice work on the guitar as well.

  • we sang this song in school ;-)

  • Legendary, good man yourself

  • awesome. i also like the nice mic assist haha.

  • i am suprised weary good

  • not bad good actualy i am suprised

  • well played sir

  • Sehr gut

  • Well played. Your voice is pleasing .

  • well done

  • I found chord for this song but key is Dm

Are you improvise or i found some wrong verse ???

  • It is in Dm! the capo on the 5th fret transposes everything 5 semitones higher, so you can play those chord positions:

    Am G A Em

    Am F Am G Em

Am E (yes, major this time) Am

  • Great job!

  • Good playing and good singing. Great job!

  • nice

  • A1 Sharon

  • Incredible...Just Amazing...

  • Too bad.

Thanks for answering and posting the video, I like your version.

  • Nice job!

  • Do you have a written version of the text with the chords included?

I looked at the chords you posted, but I can`t figure out how they are played during the verse and chorus.

  • Unfortunately i don't have a written version. I figured it out from a cd and never felt I needed to write it down. The chords I posted do not have any rythm indication... I'll try to repost them in a more precise fashion soon.

  • you sing really well!

  • The American civil war has a lot of great songs. Aura Lee, Paddy's lamentation and the Battle hymn of the Republic.

  • well done. an interesting new tempo on an old fav. Good to see you keeping our music alive.

  • It was very well sung, I think. The guitar playing is also good, but it's too forceful.. A softer guitar playing (less volume) would be better for this song, cause otherwise it disturbs the singing.

    Very good work still!

  • great version, really original. i love the pace throughout & you're voice is perfect for this song. slainte

  • Interesting, though the ska-like rhythm seems a strange choice for a serious ballad. Nonetheless, an interesting rendition.

  • what are the chords for this?

  • with a capo on the 5th fret, it's the classical Am G F and Em that you'll be using. The only surprise comes from the A (major this time) that you be using both in the verse and the chorus (you'll figure out the rythm):

    Am G A Em

    Am F Am G Em

Am E (yes, major this time) Am

  • @easynowww Calm down. This is youtube, of course it's not going to be a perfect performance with a perfect sound. Having said that, There is no such thing as being embarrassing to a people (There also is no such thing as Jesus but that's another matter). If it was possible to be embarrassing to music, humanity would have died of shame in the eighties. Next time you criticize something based on your certainly exquisite taste in music, I suggest you try to make sense.

  • @easynowww thats harsh lol i love this version, go make yourself a cup of tea turn on daniel o donnell and knit a sweater

  • well done man, really good

  • loved it, i love Irish music

  • Very cool version, nice job

  • Breathtaking! Amazing performance. Like OlieOilova said: beautiful song, beautifully played, great voice.
