If the refs wanted the saints to win so badly then why did the saints have 9 penalties versus the vikings 5. 2 of the 5 viking penalties came in overtime so at the end of regulation that would have been 9 penalties against the saints and only 3 against the vikings. The PI penalty in OT was BS, but the other calls were legit. You should post the actual replays used in the game, not this fuzzy garbage.

Let me clear some stuff up at the beginning it wasnt pass interference because he didnt drag him back. the second clip wasnt roughing the passer because Brett's arm was still moving forward and the guy didnt hit Brett helmet to helmet third clip the Camera is at an angle if you pause exactly when reggie starts moving you see he does get the first down fourth clip it was pass interference the guy just paused it at the wrong time if you look you see his hands come down and he pushes him

The only penalty that may have been kind of ridiculous was the pass interference call in overtime but officials make that mistake all the time. If reciever falls and defender touches him on the way down they call interference everytime whether its right or not.

Rice might have been out, but so was Sharper. Maybe Shiancoe doesn't score with Sharper in there. He owns the middle.

If the refs wanted the saints to win so badly then why did the saints have 9 penalties versus the vikings 5. 2 of the 5 viking penalties came in overtime so at the end of regulation that would have been 9 penalties against the saints and only 3 against the vikings. The PI penalty in OT was BS, but the other calls were legit. You should post the actual replays used in the game, not this fuzzy garbage.

Let me clear some stuff up at the beginning it wasnt pass interference because he didnt drag him back. the second clip wasnt roughing the passer because Brett's arm was still moving forward and the guy didnt hit Brett helmet to helmet third clip the Camera is at an angle if you pause exactly when reggie starts moving you see he does get the first down fourth clip it was pass interference the guy just paused it at the wrong time if you look you see his hands come down and he pushes him

The only penalty that may have been kind of ridiculous was the pass interference call in overtime but officials make that mistake all the time. If reciever falls and defender touches him on the way down they call interference everytime whether its right or not.

3. The ball passed the marker. Stop it at 0:34.
4. He was forcing him forward, giving the same effect.
5. He held it against his thigh, it didn't hit the ground.
6. It wasn't bad calls. It's just the fact that Brett Favre is too old to even be a decent contender, so there was no way in hell that they'd have won even after the supposed "bad calls".

2.Yes, he dove before the ball was thrown, but you can't wrap and bring down. If he was diving, could not stop himself and knocked down the quarterback, that's different. But he wrapped KNOWING it was thrown. Also it's called a high-low, a penalty that you can't hit the quarter back high and low at the same time.

@SMN1387 actually, Berrian was the big dog for the Vikes last January. He had 9 catches for more than 100 yards. I believe Rice only had around 40 yards on 4 catches. The Vikes lost on Thursday because their coach didn't stick with Peterson in the second half (he looked pretty good), and because the Saints offensive line dominated the "Williams Wall" in the second half. Rice might have been out, but so was Sharper. Maybe Shiancoe doesn't score with Sharper in there. He owns the middle.

I would be more worried about the Saints making it to the playoffs, you have to play the Ravens, Bengals, Pittsburgh, and you'll probably drop one to the Falcons this year. The time issues were on offense for Favre not being in training camp all preseason to work with the team. Just watch sportscenter if you don't know anything about sports, maybe you might learn. But I doubt it. At this point any team could beat the Vikings because they aren't completely healthy. Your 'unstoppable' defense only scored TD's against a bad pass defense.

to everyone saying the saints rb got the first down with forward progress: yes he past the first down marker. then he fumbled the ball. that nullifies forward progress, it becomes an issue of where the ball gets recovered. the ball was recovered short of the marker. thats a turnover on downs, plain and simple.

I guess when the punter drops the ball before he kicks it, the ref rules it a "fumble".I guess if a running back stretches out his arm over the goal line, then pulls back, it is not a TD, but a "fumble".Maybe you should write the rule on proper holding of a football-No shifting position while running, or it is ruled a fumble.

A: It WAS pass interference. You leaving out the contact by the defender doesn't means it didn't existed. B: It WAS a 1st down. There's something called forward progress. I know, but to you, forward progress is like the tuck rule. C: It WAS a catch. He had his hands under the ball. Pretending that his hands wasn't there doesn't make it true.

@yourpalal1227 forward progress is only in use if your feet are on the ground, clearly he was still about 3 feet in the air, his hands were never under the ball, they were around the ball causing the ball to hit ground when he went down. Not to mention the numerous late hits on favre that were not called, players from the saints were fined thousands and thousands of dollars AFTER the game cause the league knew they were terrible hits and even worse calls
