I went to school in La Feria , a long time ago, and our band ALWAYS looked up to Harlingen's band. They are so darn good, it's not even funny. HHS never lets the crowd down. =) Go Cardinals!

Yeah no problem. Yeah I hate the negativity on this site as well. I marched high school marching band way back in the day and I marched drum corps for 3 years. I went to a high school in Orlando.

well shows what you know about band and music... If i were to put a soloist rifle in the show, i would make sure that they would practice it until they could not get it wrong... and i think that everyone who is musically educated would know that it takes a lot more skill to play percussion than just "banging a stick"

accedents are always gonna happen, you can be the best in the world, not everything is gonna be perfect

Of course people make mistakes, all I'm saying is that "good" colorguards don't make major mistakes like this soloist. Don't do something you can't do. You have to know your limits as a performer.

I think they have a pretty strong woodwind section... besides that, I'm not that impressed. They don't have very good technique marching, but a LOT of potential. Try doing the 12 hour days our school does :)

true...but we've got DCI techs working with my band...and we still work on fundamentals every morning and every monday night stadium rehearsal. i'm just saying...maybe this band would do better and not get like 16th at B.O.A. if they actually tried to march correctly.
