AnTiVid.....I have played and beaten this game, got it from gamefly and I must say, this is one of the best games i have ever played, it is just so brutal and you feel as if you are a part of the action. I would suggest renting it first because your idea of a good game may be different from mine, but if you like just straight up, in your face, brutal games then it is a good buy

You sure about that? I played Butcher Bay 3x already. I didn't see any surgery done. He says it was a surgery. In the scene where he gets it, the female Furyan Shirah(think thats her name) speaks and she says something about it. It may be a natural thing for Furyans to have, much like his "wrath of the furya" he had in the directors cut of Chronicles of Riddick film.

when i got deeper into the technology behind games, i started seeing them differently.

most shooters work like this:

you control a moving camera in a static gameworld, there are prerecorded animations for everything that happens.

looks cool as long as you do what the developers had in mind and nothing else.

now riddick:

you control a physical character in the gameworld.

you have a body, a shadow, your weapon clips with objects.

butchers bay (first game) is mentioned in chronicles and dark athena. and overall the riddick stories always have a lot of references to each other in them, like the whole running around part of chronicles resembled the showdown of pitch black.

so my guess is "dark athena" will find its way into the next riddick movie somehow, but probably just a mention, like with butchers bay.
