  • Jerry went to Kamehameha. IMUA!

  • I was lucky enough to meet Jerry and see him perform on the Navatek and at the Golden Dragon.

  • Such a beautiful song, so many memories it stirs up..... mahalo.

  • Abra Moore does a nice version of this, too (that's what led me to the song) but seeing Jerry do it is awesome. Beautiful song!!

  • i wish my uncle robert was still around... olomana is great but evern better with the originals..

  • Utterly beautiful....many mahalos Jerry. Your song & spirit has healed many over the years..

  • I LOVE this song. I have the Seabird album on vinyl. It's so great!

  • Greater than great is the song.

  • Thanks Jerry for bringing my favorite song back. Willi K has a nice version, but nothing beats Olomana. You know the Yogi family and I know the Changs from up the street. this song will always be my song and bring me home to Kahaluu. Mahalo

  • Thanks so much for posting. I love Jerry Santos music. When I lived on Oahu I would go see him and Olomana perform at the Hilton Hawaiian Village at the Paradise lounge. The most favorite song I usually request is a song he wrote "The Light in the Lady's Eyes", does anyone have that to post?

  • mahalo for posting this! it's been a song done by many local artists. hapa's version is good but this is the original and best!

  • I have always loved Olomana from way back when, (and this song!!) but lost touch about them for a while -- I have not even seen a photo of Jerry since the old days, so it's strange to see him ?? many years later. He's still such a pleasure to listen to and watch. Glad to see Olomana is still around and still bringing such wonderful music to everyone, with a talented new addition in Hoku, too! Thanks for posting this!

  • Great rendition of a classic contemporary Hawaiian song.Never heard the additional verses but it compliments the short version well. Jerry & Hoku are the best Olomana since Robert Beaumont(R.I.P)Mahalo for sharing braddah Hoaikane.
