You know, everybody is a critic when they are sitting on the other side of the instruments. I just wish the recording had been a lot clearner and a lot better as I hear a lot of distortion. However, that happens when somebody is not using professional mics or recording equipment. I know as I record tons of concerts using pro gear and then the only complaint is not about the recording but the musicians themselves. I would have liked this concert as I love this band!
...Grace Slick "had" a voice in the '60's...so on a personal note...she is better off "NOT" singing anymore....but listen to CSN&Y...Cplaton/Baker and Bruce they still have thier pipes..(albniet not as strong as inthier youth)...but they do a damn well job...Grace Slick never was the "VOICE" of a gneration...
one great band with a great song produced by Frank Slay........songs that will go down in history..............and this is great hearing the originals do it the way it was meant to be..........oh to be young again....
oh to be young again.... Boy howdy ! I don't know where the time went but judging from the fact they are still using much 60's music for sound tracks of current movies and commercials we are not the only ones keeping it alive.
Indeed, there is a time to retire and accept that the past is not now. But they (Incense Peppermint band) do manage to render something redeeming still. They don't appear even nearly as ridiculous as the geriatric Rolling Stones who still try to cling to the past - watching Mick Jagger who was not exactly gifted with good looks even in his youth - its like watching pathetic stiff ole geezers trying to jump about on stage, They need to give it a rest and relax on their laurels now for sure.
A little respect please the lead singer Lee Freeman passed away on valentines day from a long brutal fight with cancer , he was my oldest and dearest friend and a great talent that will be missed very much.
I saw the Strawberry Alarm Clock on a double bill with the Electric Prunes in Hollywood, California in December 2007. Neither band had lost one iota of the punch that put them on the map in 1967. God bless them both!
Shredding guitar playing and this song doesn't blend. Its like putting peanut butter on a hotdog. Neither is inherently bad, just don't put them together.
Hey shredder guitar man, join a van halen cover band and go to it. Otherwise play to the song when doing material like this. Try moderation and if you're still feeling antsy afterward, jerk off in the green room.
The Strawberry Alarm Clock will soon be finished with a new album it is now in the mixing stage so stay tuned , Incense And Peppermints original album has been re mastered and released in new vinyl.
Everybody is a fu##in critic you are invited to their next gig to do a better job---or you could just enjoy my friends of 40 years and be happy they are still playing for their fans.
Time to retire? Say that to buddy guy, he'll beat you over the head with the blues.
Say that to Paul McCartney...still puts on a GREAT show.
Ok, so you may THINK Grace Slick was right, but if you want to listed to a washed up hippie that didn't have the balls or voice to REALLY tour, thats your problem. The time for her to retire was well before that "We Built This City" crapola.
More cowbell REALLY. just a little more. It was a joke but part of the charm of the track. This really is very good. I like how they stretch out on this with the extra solos but not the harmony guitars esp up front. It kills some of the original vibe. If they held off on those till the second instrumental bridge it would make it more climactic.
Great Song! Great Band! (I gotta say, I can't believe there's so many people there actually attending in person for such old music!--- I thought no one listened to that oldies anymore today... except me)

You're dead wrong. Give them a proper venue and sound recording beyond a cell phone.

The sound quality sucks, and out of tune voices. The guitar sounds decent, though.

You're correct in your assessment of excessive critiques in this day and age. It appears that music appreciation is not what it used to be.
This is a great song and if the original writers and performers want to change it up, it's their perogative.

Grace Slick was right. There is a time to retire and say no to reunions and more touring.

It's either "I saw" or "I have seen", not "I seen" Don't ever write that on a resume. You won't get hired. Just trying to help.
