  • I wonder how they decided on who would play 1st Violin and who would play 2nd? Absolutely marvellous nonetheless. I love them both :)

  • Beautiful beyond belief. Two of the best playing Bach. It doesn't get any better.

  • Fuck David Garrett. This is real music with real musicians.

  • this must be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written and to hear it played by two of the greatest violinists that have ever lived is truly moving...

  • great music and great masters! :D

  • Superb.TY medictv for posting this gem.of gems.

  • Brabo!! thank you!!

  • Un pur joyau!

  • sublime - could listen to this over and over again...they are my heroes...

  • It's as if Bach was singing this himself! The mark of great violinists, the emotional intent and beauty of the composer shines thru to the listener.

  • Seule la Musique permet une telle communion! C'est beau !

  • incredible.......no other words to describe this performance.....

  • quel bonheur....

  • Hallo, I've noticed that they play in the slowest tempo out of all the videos I've heard in YT. is this the original tempo of the piece?

  • @ViolinPro88

Where do u study? are u a student right now? :-) just curious cos i study the violin as well

  • Beautiful!

  • Is you crazy...........? This is heaven

  • Beautifull...

  • Sheer Heaven to hear these towering virtuosi playing together, in this gorgeous piece of Bach. It has been a great delight to listen to Heifetz and Friedman,,,Stern and Mintz ,,and now these two gentle souls. Each great artist brought his own magic to the piece. I am searching for Perlman now,,,another great artist. Listen to them all and enjoy the lot!! Many thanks for posting and best wishes.

  • @ViolinPro88

    This is shit!!!

    anti-music...

  • @benny0607 Just curious: What do you mean with "anti-music"?

  • @rgmatos2 Gaga is pretty talented, but she's forced to follow what's popular today, even if most of it is crap.

  • old good classic, it´s amazing!

  • genius and music is above all the man-made limitations ....

  • A jew and a Russian, Playing a German Composition.....Classic !! XD

  • Isn't Oistrach Jewish too?

  • No, He is Russian-Ukranian

  • @macmusikpro Yes ,in Odessa-but he was Jewish

  • This is very special, hearing together two of the best violinists of all time. Their tone and synchrony are perfect. They show their skill and experience.

    Thank you.

  • wow that was beautiful

  • Oistrakh was the greatest. I had a ticket for his recital at Massey Hall in Toronto in '73. He had to cancel - I've always regretted never having heard him live. He died the following year. I know he had a heart condition but I've always wondered if he was murdered by the KGB since he was a threat to defect.

  • is this the closest you can come godliness???

  • Sublime! Todo o meu gosto pela música se sintetiza neste andamento e nesta interpretação do Duplo concerto de violino; é certamente lamechas dizer que gostava de o ouvir ao morrer!

  • too much vibrato for me on this, love their other stuff

  • I've been listening for few seconds and I'm already crying... great concerto! I'd give anything to play it like that...

  • This music cant be played any better then this!

Anyone who thinks otherwise must be from another planet.

As good as it gets!! 10 stars out of 10!!

  • Beautiful Peace~ T-T

  • Heaven!

  • Uma joia musical de sonho!

  • Fantastic! Oistrakh especially, even if his interpretation was a little...romantic. But still, amazing

  • TWO GODS PLAYING TOGHETER

  • 다비드 오이스트라흐 동영상은 처음봅니다.

    가슴이 울컥했습니다.

    앞부분이 잘려서 너무 아쉽네요.

아슬아슬하게 시작되는 그 부분이 정말 매력적인데...

  • my heart stopped at the first notes...

  • No words for this.....

  • omg these violinists were great, their like the isaac sterns and itzhak perlmans of their time y don't u have the whole song :*(

  • i disagree - i believe that isaac stern and itzhak perlman are the oistrakh and menuhin of their day. these two and heifetz and milstein set the benchmark.

  • no way, they are the Yehudi Menuhin and David Oistrakh of their time!

  • Of course the music is wonderful but...we can see how far camerawork for music has moved on since that time. These days its fantastic - following the musician currently carrying the main theme etc. Having said all that music filmimg was still in its infancy then - pioneered by Menuhin no less!

  • Speechless.

  • Wow, bravissimo!

  • Far and away the best version of this gorgeous movement ever! Thanks!!!

  • there are no words. thank you.

  • wow

  • Goosebumps....

  • Wonderful. I got to see a rehearsal with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra on their 1963 tour, and this brought back lovely memories.

  • How lucky you were to have seen Oistrakh, in my view, one of the best interpreters of music. Born a little too late, I have only heard his recordings and his Beethoven Violin and Wieniawski's recordings are better than some other artists.

  • Was really gorgeus. Thanks so much for the post!

  • the best performance of this piece on youtube!

  • Stupendous! Bravo! TY.
