I painted straight over the bolt. It really depends on preference. I would say to take the bolt out of the assembly and paint it if you are worried about it sticking. mine didnt stick, but idk. could happen

I do not have the rifle anymore due to a mishap with one of my friends borrowing it and getting it stolen, but I had it for about 2 years, and I have to say I loved the shit out of it. just make sure you follow the instructions of assembly very closely, because that could ruin the accuracy in the long run. but with that in mind, its an awesome airsoft sniper to have. and if you dont mind I could reference a couple metal bands you might like. gojira, insomnium, dark tranquillity..

just do the base layer all in one coat (about 10-12 inch away) and make sure you get no paint bubbles. make sure you use camo paint (color your choice), and then decide what flora you are going to use. I used pine needle buds. you want to get it a little closer with the flora stencil paint wise and just let your imagination go crazy. dont worry about screwing up. just go until you're happy. my dad is on the sniper team for SWAT where I live and I thought I could share this technique..

and remember to use painters tape or electrical tape to cover up all the shit you dont want painted. for reference I painted the bolt and it didnt slow the bolt down what so ever so dont worry about that. and remember that you obviously wait for different colors of paint to dry. be patient for the drying process and have fun!

Only one problem I see here...You painted over your bolt...that may not be a good idea BUT! this was a good enough paint job that i went out and bought the paint and painted my m324 the same way along with my friends m16 and m4! Thanks for posting this!

yeah I think it look really good. use some leaves as stencils on your rifle that you would find in the woodland area where you live. get some camo wrap and put a couple leaves to disguise it if your wearing a ghillie suit. make sure you cover up any kind of reflective surface that could give you away in a battle. you should be solid as diamond then. good luck to your games in the future :)

the paint I got was at the local sportsman store Scheels or Sportsmans warehouse. its a general adhesive paint that doesn't need primer. its for general surfaces like wood plastic and metal. its called H.S camo paint. I had tan and olive drab. I also had a little brown. its weather proof and its made for camo.

ummm. I would suggest going to shortyusaDOT com. It will help you find te right one. dont get a spring unless its a sniper. Gas and electric are the way to go. I would get a standard m4 electric. it all depends on what your taste is and how much money your willing to spend lol. mine is made by UTG, but with regular electric i would go with echo 1

Hey, Im not a big fan of the utg models ... I dig the Tanaka rifles and the TM vsr, but I just looove your paintjob. Awesome work. I wish I could do that on my M24, but I use camoform tape on these days.

What's the FPS on the UTG ? can you upgrade it on around 560 fps (0,2g of courese) ? What kind of innerbarrel is mounted in there ? 6.04 mm I guess ? O_o

I never actually figured out what the internals are in the gen 3 m324 but I did check out how the FPS on average for it was and with .25's it shoots around 420. the surprising thing is that with all the battles I play with this guy I found it more accurate with .28 bb's. anyhow if you were my neighbor I would paint it for you, but sadly all my neighbors dont play airsoft. thats awesome you have an m24 though. best of luck with future battles- rob
