  • Slay beat Saitiev far and square. Saitiev is one of the all-time best, but he got beat. No question. Any whining about it makes Saitiev or Saitiev fans a bunch of sore losers

  • Do you really want to know who is the best ? Sportsmen using steroids have short life in sport -Brandon Slay had very short sporting career ! I know this because I was professional sportsman .Steroids can help you win for short run after few years your heart will be under threat . And if you do not wish die young you should quit sporting career and live quiet life . If you do not trust me ask confident source .

  • AH SAJTIEV ISNT RUSSIA HE IS FROM CHECHNYA ????

  • satiev is the better wrestler.

slay had much luck at the beginn of the fight , of course slay is fast and is very strong . satiev has much more technics and is very experienced

  • i'm sorry to say, but russian/chechen/eastern wrestlers, as good as they are, cant cope with the crazy tempo of american freestyle. they have better technic but no conditioning to match americans

  • shut up american looser, 1 american wrestler beats a russian 1 and u go all cocky

  • Satiev got taken down twice and turned. There's no question who was the better wrestler IN THIS MATCH. Of course Satiev is a better wrestler, but give credit where credit is due. Slay prepared for this match and knew exactly how to wrestle him. Satiev had to look Slay up on the internet.

  • I let this person take me down in the second round. I didn't even know who he was. I had to look him up in the Internet. I think he shouldn't have been in the Olympics at all, he was like a plane fly-by, he flew in, flew out, and he didn't have much to offer. Maybe they fed him something. He appeared, caused havoc and disappeared. Kind of like that Rulon Gardner, but Rulon at least fights there somewhere. That Slay guy disappeared for good. He's not even worth my thoughts.

    -Satiev on Slay

  • lets be serious...Satiev was clearly superior...steroids or not....anyone know what kind of drugs they found in him?

  • as much as i hate to say it, even though slay lost the leipold in the finals and won the gold by default, he still did beat saitiev and in my eyes that is worth the olympic title cause no one else would have beatin him

  • it's just philosopies of winning. satiev is waiting for quality of attack and technically superior, and slay is more working and pushing for quantity of work in a relentless attack that surprised satiev, especially in the beginning and ending minutes of the match.

  • hey afshar, it's dumb to make derogatory comments. When will many see the idea that americans win by putting in more of a quantity of hard work in the mind and body to achieve results, where many other countries work with quality of training to achieve results. In america, the high quantity of work practiced by their athletes filters to the best america has, and the foreign teams train with a quality of work that is developed over years of superior technical training.

  • The best of the bests on the wrestling mat, King Satiev.

  • It's so obvious that Saitiev is just in a totally different league. It makes me sick to see Slay win with just that stupid double leg when Saitiev is such a well-rounded wrestler. Look at his counters and leg defense -- absolutely phenomenal. And some blonde redneck that probably can't tie his shoes on his own comes and beats him.. Stomach-turning.

  • Blonde redneck who can't tie his shoes on his own?

Brandon Slay has a degree from the Wharton School on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

I could be wrong, but I think most Ivy League graduates are capable of lacing up a pair of sneakers without assistance.

  • yes......how did saitiev not score on the reversal exposure at the beginninng......that was not one of those "oops, I rolled" deals.......slay was on his back??

  • The Russian wrestler did not have control at that point. From my perspective, all calls were completely appropriate and in accordance with International freestyle rules.

  • Sick first 33 seconds gents...how did Satiev not score on the reversal exposure

  • Slay was really lucky

  • That was really good.. Now I see where he got "devistating doubles" from...

  • AMAZING MATCH!!! I miss wrestling now...
