Thank you for the great tutorial! I found a lot more good ones at cosmohut. This site has lots of material and categories and I have a lot of these, unfinished makeup tutorials that I film and I edit and I end up never liking. i am sure you would like it!
I really want to do this, but I have very fine and few hair. If I tease my hair like that, it won't look that good and I think I'll never get my hair back to normal :(
For all those who have not much clue about CATRINAS. They were 'created' by José Guadalupe Posada, to resemble wealthy feminine women from the period previous to Mexican Revolution. They are indeed a symbol of my beautiful Mexico and its traditions. They're commonly used in Day of the Dead celebrations.
:D Mr Clementillo.... hay que compartir la cultura, no?? :) Saludos!!!
OMG!!! Thank you sooo much :D I've been looking for a creepy costume with an element of glamour since October 1st! :D thank you, thank you, thank you I'm sure this will impress all my friends <3
Great video as usual. Been TRYING to get on the forum but have registered twice as (NEEDLEPIMP and Needle_Pimp) but have never received any confirmation emails. HELP!!!!! None of my emails have been responded to.
do you know how to make a mariachi sombrero?! they are pretty expensive but i am willing to make one ... i just need an inspirational video tutorial. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND
Love it! I might convince Whitney to do something like that next year for the Halloween parade. This year we are going to be taking photos and have Annie with us. We don't want to smear our cameras with makeup. Thanks for the fun tip! =0)
"dab some glue on the underside of the butt area" Corinne, you crack me me! :D This is an absolutely amazing costume on you and your directions are extremely precise but adaptable! I'm super tempted to try this!
I've been working on my dia de Los muertos costume for the last two weeks!! I love your hat! I had glitter glued some flowers for a headband but now I'm going to put them on a hat instead!! I used the same glitter glue bright colors to decorate the latex mask I'm wearing to look like a sugar skull with hearts and flowers and vines. Can't wait for Halloween!!!
Awesome! I love Dia de los Muertos. If you want to set the white paint, you can use baby powder. It will help it to stay and not rub off on your clothing as much.
@azurafae You should cover up your nostrils when applying though. Last year i tried using baby powder and the little that got in made my nostrils completely effin dry so I kept sneezing all day and it felt awful even after i got it out with water. Wasn't pleasant.
@nimoisansvous just look at a few traditional la catrina-figures. she is normally not portrayed in a realistic way, so you don´t need to do much shading. that would be a more modern la catrina. :)

@offwithurhead Good point. Makeup on my nose is itchy anyway, so that would make it even worse.
