  • Where I can get notations for this?

  • @worras2007

If you contact me via boardmail, I can send to you a bare copy of (bad quality) sheets. I've got it somewhere on the web years ago from a piano-sheet side, so notation is not for accordion at all. I play here a mix and parts of these sheets plus own variation. THIS version was never ever written down before by me or anybody else to my knowledge so far.

  • Super

  • @Alya318

Здравствуйте!, thanky вы very much для вашего комментария.

  • Sehr Gut. Aber Libertango bedeutet " Freiheit Tango". Liber bedeutet Frei in Latein.

  • Excelent ! ! !

  • Excelent !!!!!!!

  • Too slow

  • @jovian616396

why do you think it needs to be faster ?

  • @aphato:

    Basses:

Amin, B7, Ddim, Amin, Gmaj, F#maj, Fmaj, Emaj

Amin, B7, Dmin, Amaj, Gmaj, F#maj, Fmaj, Emaj (repeated 2 times)

    Gmin, A7, Dmin, Fmin, G7, Cmaj, E7, Amin, B7, E7, Amin

Amin, B7, Dmin, Amin (repeated 3 times)

  • nice playing !! anyone know the bass on this?

  • Wahnsinn!!!!! Vielen Vielen Dank dir !

  • @SawaRulez :-)

  • Beautifully played Wolfgang. I enjoyed it so much. Fran

  • Thanks - :-)

  • I love the Argentine tango, because it's focused emotions! I admire players Bandoneon! And then, my late husband and I danced the tango so that this rate remains enormously evocative memories! .. ..

Also, I am listening you with great attention and melancholy ...

    It's beautiful!

    Congratulations,

    Odette

  • As I said, since the my first visit to Buenos Aires years ago I started to love it and specially tango. I have a score of this music for accordion, but I couldnt play it yet. Congratulations again for your interpretation.

  • Very well played. I do wish to play like you. I love Buenos Aires and Argentinian tango. If you want, you can hear me playing a very old brazilian walts.

  • Thank you, that you like it because it is not played according to original sheets from Piazzolla but some Piano-sheets and a new bass interpretation instead. In the meantime I bought sheets for bandonion/accordion with the original "soundimpression" and feeling (or at least close to it). Another interesting project for any time in future... nothing beats the original in this case.

  • So simple, so slowly, so accurately... That's just what this tango needs. Great. Thank you). Excellent.

  • Well, I still think this is the "ideal" speed for this tango - but this is my personal opinion. I like to hear it from time to time a bit quicker as well, but I hate the very quick versions - those lost the spirit, the emotion of this song.

  • great!

  • Thanks

  • Nice :) I like this song :))

  • Thank you !

  • Excelente!

  • Thank you !

  • So beautiful! thank you!

  • Thank you too.

  • wonderful!

  • Thank you.

  • beautiful ! kisses from argentina

  • Kisses back... :-o

I like comments from Argentina's people... the land of tango and Astor Piazzolla, a great master of composing and the bandonion.

  • BIEN EJECUTADO.

On sent l'atmosphere Tango.

  • this is really good!

  • Thank you.

  • I came across this by mistake while looking for neo-tango dancing, but I must say - wow, I had no idea an accordeon could sound like that. Well done indeed!

  • Thank you for your comment.

Well, many different "colors" of sound (wide range of selections) is special to this instrument (but not only). The colours differ again from type of instrument and manufacturer and the way they have been tuned. Sometimes you will have trouble in finding the "right" accordion just because there do exist so many different (nice) ones - at least when buying a new one. Some manufacturers or instruments do have a "unique" sound, very special, one of a kind.

  • Mille gracie !

    Ciao da Wolfgang

  • Bellissimo pezzo, e ottima esecuzione, complimenti!

    Ciao da Vito

  • fantastico !! vorrei provare a suonarla mi potresti mandare lo spartito?

  • Grazie.

  • Hi Yvo,

I agree with you. The rhythm isn't the rhythm of what is supposed to be according to the original version. I play a modified tango-rhythm to it... and i am aware ot that, but nevertheless, thank you for mentioning this here. Just tell me, if (or how) you like this version (compared to the original version from piazzolla). It is NOT supposed to be the original one or a copy (very close cover) of that.... because I don't have the original sheets and didn't want to make a close cover.

  • I would like you to compare to Grace Jones version as well. There do exist many interpretations of this great piece of tango - not in the same way Piazzolla intended or played it. So, those different versions have got an own spirit. Just see it like a variation, a different arrangement on that original masterpiece (knowing, that it can't be the same, not beeing played the same, not the same level but having a different mood...)

  • favoloso

  • ottima esecuzione! complimenti! 5*****

  • mille gracie !

  • Hi,

wo hast du die Noten bekommt?

  • So Powerful and Sweet , Danke schön!

  • Thank you.

I tried to play like a tango (but still considering the fact, that it is a very special one - a tango nuevo). That means to me starting with less energy (you said "power") - and then increasing to the maximum (similar like the "Bolero" from Ravel). This can not be shown here perfectly and one doesn't see (hear) it right on this song. Maybe i should put more respect to that - dynamics in sound is limited here, somehow.

  • bravo

  • Thank you very much. By now, I can play it a bit more experienced and I added some more runs in the meantime (mainly to fill breaks or to replace some of the longer-holded notes/chords as a conjunction/bridge). Libertango can be played in many different versions - this is only one of them, one of my first tryouts.

  • This tango is played with great expressiveness.

    I like it a lot!

    Congratulations (*****)

    Fabrizio

  • Thank you Fabrizio...

but you know "great expressiveness" is a MUST when playing a tango... :-o

for sure you know ! ;-)

  • superb tango - thank you - 5 stars

  • Perfect

  • Merci! Superbe!

  • You play it at just the right speed most others seem to play this music too fast.

I really enjoyed listening to you play.

  • well... at the end it is a matter of personal point of view and interpretation... I do share your opinion exactly. It is that speed I like it most.... especially when people dance to it. Tango (nuevo) and accordion (bandoneon) are historically made for each other. No doubt and no separation possible.... and tango is a great, great dance... I love both: watching good dancers AND the music to it - both at the same time. For sure.

    ----------------------

    Thank you very much !

I love russian folk and bayan-music in general as well. I guess the worlds best players on classics come from russia. You do have excellent schools and universities on music-arts - especially bayan.

  • Thank you. I play this speed by purpose. When playing, you must imagine a couple dancing tango - but not the standard, which is performed in a quick way. Tango nuevo is a lot different from the standard, and i guess it is just that, what makes the spirit of it. Mostly i do hate those very quick played versions - this is not tango nuevo at all... but this is my personal point of view concerning this great style of music and dance...

  • Too slow for me

  • I accept your personal opinion. It is mainly a question of personal point of stand.

Originally playing is quite slow. You can see/hear that on many clips or records. Just watch the videos from argentina where people dance on this tango nuevo... or listen to some of the bandion-versions...

Yes, one can play it faster - but even slower is not wrong...

  • It makes me cry.

  • No, no... please don't cry... ;-)

but it is OK if you start dancing the Tango !

(or you have the feeling to start with).

Musik and dancing are very close together concerning emotion and beat...

  • que maestro! sin palabras, ovasion de aplausos!!!!

  • Beautiful playing. Very lovely sound and beat to it. Nice job, seriously!

  • wood nice congratulations is a nice melody

  • Sher shon.

    Heel mooi.

    bravo

    gr sara

  • aaaahhhh....beautiful, indeed !5*

  • Bravo! I've watched all your videos today! What a way to spend a snowy New England day at home! I took lessons for 5 years in my youth, but watching you has made me want to take the old accordion out and dust it off, and start playing again! Thank you!!!!!!

  • Ok - take it, undust it and start playing !

That's what it has been made for.

    It's up to you only.

  • Lol, wow, i love libertango so much and you played it so well! i too play accordion ( 3 years now ) and my instructor told me i had learned all he had to teach me, but i still have much more to learn, and i was wondering if you could email me a scan of the score? please let me know =)

  • -Instructors can only tell what and how to do - but YOU have to perform, train, improve yourself by hard, continous work. If you are not genius or play at least 2 hrs each day, it takes approx. 5-10 years ! But don't forget the fun on playing: fun is most important, otherwise you'll quit earlier or later, mostlikely !

The notes are for piano, some public source of web (don't remember) and not from a book. They are hard to read. Contact me via youtube and i'll send you a copy of the copy.

  • wow you are really good on responses, and i practice approx 3-4 hrs/day =), ATM im working on quadruplets/quintuplets(i think? 54321 on 1 key..) and yeah i play fun stuff but i have really kinda stopped practicing because all my songs are way outplayed at the amount i practice, i have played through almost every book i even have played through 2 piano books aswell, i have mastered over 500 songs =(

but yeah thanks ill send u a msg right away! =)

  • I enjoyed Libertango very much! You played it well.

    Thanks, Mark

  • Hi Mark,

thank you for your comment and for enjoying it.

Have a nice christmas and a happy new year !

  • Hi!

Very good playing! I have a version of it too check it out please, and let me know what you think.

I am thinking to make a new version with accordion only on 2 or 3 tracks but I am yet to find a video editing program where I can play 3or 4 screens simultaneously on the video. And you are right music is a free expression of "self" nothing is set in concrete !

  • Hello...

yours is closer to piazzollas playing, i guess. Please, give a little bit more time to me - i will place my comments on your videoside and not here. You have so many good videos there... i guess, we are swimming on the same wave, somehow i want to go, where you are already: playing with different voices and instruments is a fantastic thing. I wouldn't do it with accordion only (eventually 2 or 3 voices, but still additional others like drumset, guitar, percussion, piano...)

  • Leidenschaft pur.! Super.
