Awesome run and nice tip for the crab boss here's a tip from me as thanks. On the gun form you can position yourself directly above or under the gun where the circle is it spins on and the gun can't hit you.
I managed to beat it, but never realised you could destroy the crab force's obstacles. I know you hardly need tips, but for the gun, just stay in the middle of the screen (vertically), where the gun is and just keep the lightsaber going, and the barrel of the gun will be past you and thus not hurt you. It dies quicker that way.

In two-player mode, we always try to have to have both as a one-two punch. Anything that the Seeker Laser doesn't work against, we use the Beam Sword. Plus, the beam sword is really good for defense.

I stand by my opinion that I had when I was a kid. Seven Force was the best boss fight in the entire Genesis library. There were many that came close, but few that were designed and executed as well as this. One of the most intense and rewarding fights in gaming when I was a kid. New game developers could learn something by watching this boss fight.
Part of what makes this fight so epic is the fact that it's only level 2. Only Treasure is insane enough to throw a fight this massive at you so early in the game.
@megalon84 Don't think I'd have the guts to go up against him as my first boss, even though I've completed Expert on the Gens emulator. I wish I didn't get rid of my Mega Drive, and that my cousin didn't get rid of his cartridge; I'd have played the real version on Expert one more time for old time's sake.
Chaser laser? Have you EVER tried playing on Expert? Yeah on normal that rapes EVERYTHING but on Hard or Expert chaser/laser can't compare. You NEED fire/laser to do an serious amount of offense/defense against the sheer amount and health of the enemies.
You just made one of the hardest bosses in video gaming look like a chump with a below average weapon. For that, good sir, I congratulate you. You kick ass.

Minimal damage!? It's damage is very close to if not on par with Fire+Chaser. They also both block shots. Fire+Chaser is much harder to control though, and most people can't manage it, especially with free shot.

This fight was one of the many things I remember from this game it was the first time I had to fight seven bosses. It taught me to always expect more bosses in games :). (This was back when I just started playing video games)

Chaser lightning is the best weapon.
I still play this to this day. I use Fusion. It emulates the lot. 32X as well.

Chaser laser? Have you EVER tried playing on Expert? Yeah on normal that rapes EVERYTHING but on Hard or Expert chaser/laser can't compare. You NEED fire/laser to do an serious amount of offense/defense against the sheer amount and health of the enemies.

Aah. No. I only ever play on wimpy normal. My strategy is to nail the fire button down and dodge things hoping the chaser laser does its stuff.
Same with ThunderForce IV. I use Hunter mostly and then Blade or Railgun depending if the enemy is in front or behind me.

As I just said, fire/laser is NOT a below average weapon. It is the best one for harder difficulties.

Reading your first post from a minute before this, that does make sense, since I only ever played through this game once on normal. I suppose if I ever have the ambition to hook my Wii back up and play this, I'll try that out on Expert.

Nice skills, this one is definetly one of the best ever kick-ass bosses i've seen on a videogame xd and I never realized till this moment that every one of the Forces goes exactly for 11111 score points lol

Fire + Laser does minimal damage and has a tiny range. Fire + Chaser is just... Death.
It's... Kinda cheap I guess.

Minimal damage!? It's damage is very close to if not on par with Fire+Chaser. They also both block shots. Fire+Chaser is much harder to control though, and most people can't manage it, especially with free shot.

better thing to do is to stand under gun entire fight, and keep jumping up and down when he blasts, as its easy to dodge. kill him in 1/4 the time

This fight was one of the many things I remember from this game it was the first time I had to fight seven bosses. It taught me to always expect more bosses in games :). (This was back when I just started playing video games)

That was great!
As another fan of the game, whoever played that must of spent a lot of time playing through that to know the patterns and anything else that could occur. And that, IMO, is what I consider to be true "hardcore" gaming.
