Fix the players off the ball movements, the refs poor decision making process, the offside calls are sometimes too perfect, you cant even be an inch off.. there's no realism in that, fix the penalties - don't know why its so sensitive - that rubbish!!! and also take off the automatic spot kick, it doesn't benefit nobody or make the game any better. PES has been a let down since 2009 in my opinion. Keep it original!! lastly FIX THE BALL PHYSICS, and shooting, take off all the auto lobbing. Cheers

lol man i have 32K Connection and only one red bar connection on PES . If i ping the Konami Servers with my ps3 i get a ping of 280 ms. If i play FIFA or Killzone and other games ive got 15-20 ms. I play from Europe and all my buddies and PES Players got the problem if you read forums like pesgaming. Take a look

pes' presentation is amazing. when a player retires at the end of a season the camera focuses on him.....the atmosphere of winning the champions league.....brilliant. but i still think the gameplay could be improved significantly.

It's time they fix the stupid settings and implement an "auto-detect" feature for gamepads so you don't have to change that every time in the separate settings executable!
Also, the MAIN problem is that defenders can ALWAYS catch the attacker. It's so annoying. My player has, for example, 85 top speed, and the defender has, for example, 65 top speed, but he ALWAYS catches up so fast, and pressures you off the ball. So irritating. This allows players to neglect TRUE defensive skill, and just hold the Tackle button instead. Also, this decreases the number of one-on-ones we get, as opposed to older versions of PES.
3. Goalkeeping needs massive improvement (positioning, shot-stopping, one-on-one) also, we need ALL new goalkeeping animations (dives, throws and kicks)
4. Atmosphere, crowd booing booked players, rival teams, etc. (crowd also cheer or boo at half-time depending on situation)
5. Long balls and crosses (for example, Scholes and Xavi) need to be flatter, more floated rather than driven hard

yes I agree it needs improvement in some areas but I believe there are more positive then negative things on the game. Man I know this game when you play awful PES is thge worst game ever but if you play good the game is good.
1.) I expect my defenders to make an interception if the ball is rolling past them 1CM away at snails pace. 2.) I expect my keeper to to pick the ball up if it's 2 yards in front of them with the opposistion running at it. 3.) A power meter for crossing would be nice, sorry but to have the power of a cross be automatic in this day and age is a joke.
Pes could beat Fifa in graphics, if they use the motion sensors for facial expressions like L.A. Noire! As for gameplay, that is an area with a vast majority of improvement!

Fifa is the only game a person that know nothing about football can pick up and play and even beat some one who knows about football you can't do that with PES 2011 you have to know something about the game. Fifa knows their target demographics are lazy gamers, non football playing gamers.

If you want to get your skills on competitive level, they are supposed to have a quick learning curve which by all means is not the case with Pes2011. By the time needed for one to master it, next release is already at hand! Therefore, even if we put aside bad gfx and buggy AI, Pes2011 remains failure. Hell, even Konami abandoned the concepts behind it! Successful simulation is all about simplicity. The more people can play it, the merrier!
So, if you improved attacking and defense what exactly you expect to achieve? Doesn't this mean that everything will remain basically the same? And do something about the graphics please 'cos this looks awful!

@TheKestevon The players lack facial expressions and body hair for starters. Their hair and uniforms don't respond to weather conditions at all. Shorts & jerseys should have their own animations. This way, they seem glued to player bodies. Grass stains would also be a welcome addition. See? Plenty room for improvement! These are all just simple matters but they would make game look a lot better! Still, I'll bet my ass none of these changes would take place in PES2012... or 2013 for that matter.

1) Change the penalty system back to the way it was.
2) Sort out the poor offside decisions.
3) Stop making Barcelona, Real madrid etc too powerful.
4) Auto kick the laggers & give opponent the win!
5) Allow us to strike the ball 1st time from a deflection & with power!
6) Slow down the defenders!!!! Puyol can out run and catch Walcott!!!!
7) Go back to your roots...make the game play similar to Pes 3 & 4.
Then and only then will Pes rule the world again!

Also, the MAIN problem is that defenders can ALWAYS catch the attacker. It's so annoying. My player has, for example, 85 top speed, and the defender has, for example, 65 top speed, but he ALWAYS catches up so fast, and pressures you off the ball. So irritating. This allows players to neglect TRUE defensive skill, and just hold the Tackle button instead. Also, this decreases the number of one-on-ones we get, as opposed to older versions of PES.

1.) I expect my defenders to make an interception if the ball is rolling past them 1CM away at snails pace. 2.) I expect my keeper to to pick the ball up if it's 2 yards in front of them with the opposistion running at it. 3.) A power meter for crossing would be nice, sorry but to have the power of a cross be automatic in this day and age is a joke.

We want a high trough pass that works, normal shoot animations,better AI, fix the keeper. They never catch a ball properly.put some tricks in the game that work. Please some better menu music ( it sucks hardcore), more dept in B.A.L mode. In the ML no 9,999,999,999 money, it f-cks up the real PES experience. More teams ( like a few bundesliga teams( schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund).and nobody cares about the Ligue 1 so replace it.Player names up-to-date as the transfers, more edit mode options

Fifa is the only game a person that know nothing about football can pick up and play and even beat some one who knows about football you can't do that with PES 2011 you have to know something about the game. Fifa is for the lazy gamer, it is the McDonalds of football game. Fifa is a button smasher game with every player on the field can be messi. If you want to get your skills on competitive level, they are supposed to have a quick learning curve which by all means is not the case with Pes2011. By the time needed for one to master it, next release is already at hand! Therefore, even if we put aside bad gfx and buggy AI, Pes2011 remains failure. Hell, even Konami abandoned the concepts behind it! Successful simulation is all about simplicity. The more people can play it, the merrier!

Both franchises need improvement in this department but I wasn't talking here about FIFA and, frankly, I don't understand why everybody must bring up FIFA when PES is the topic. The fact is that, in comparing to modern games (not talking about sport games 'cos EA pretty much covers that area of market and we just agreed their gfx suck too), PES looks dated.

@TheKestevon The players lack facial expressions and body hair for starters. Their hair and uniforms don't respond to weather conditions at all. Shorts & jerseys should have their own animations. This way, they seem glued to player bodies. Grass stains would also be a welcome addition. See? Plenty room for improvement! These are all just simple matters but they would make game look a lot better! Still, I'll bet my ass none of these changes would take place in PES2012... or 2013 for that matter.

pes 2011 was a nightmare... graphics were good, pitch was good, but gameplay was terrible... passes cant even be made right whether though or regular passes. defense blows big time, and the commentating is same and sort of boring.. same phrase in less than a minute... PES 5 or 6 are way better besides graphics... the movement of players in 2011 was terrible... some of the tricks looked so fake, and worked a few times... i havent bought a PES game since the 2008 version...

FIFA IS BETTER IN: opponent's and teammates AI, ball physics and player movement physics (also teamwork), goalkeepers AI.
PES IS BETTER IN: players characteristics as in reality reflection (in fifa it is totally bullc...p), dribbling as in reality reflection (in fifa it is totally bullc...p), shooting as in reality reflection (in fifa it is totally bullc...p).
BOTH GAME ARE BULLC...P IN: crossing from the deep flank and easiness of hitting the net with the header.

improve the shooting man,because in pes 2011 just slightly touch the shoot button and the player shoot like a rugby player.Also improve the movement of the players to be much smoother not like 2011 when they run like they are constipated and the goalkeeper when holding the ball is hunchbacked and has diareea.In pes 2011 you can edit the stadium but not the goalnet.Make it tighter and square like fifa.Change those shitty replays without blurry shit and the angle much wider.

Promises, promises. I feel like I'm hearing same annunciation every year. This is better, that is improved, we are working on fixing this & this, but the final product always seems to fall short of its pre-production hype. From what I saw in this little presentation, gfx are still gonna look like PS2 version of PES2008! Someone criticized KONAMI's obsession with reality and I agree. If you can't make an addictive simulation at least give us a game that's fun to play! Scrap fails like PES2011!

@aloncho11 The weak foot thing affects the dribbling more than it does the kick in PES 2011 from what i've seen, i mean i depends, i notice good players no matter their WFA etc.. have decent purchase on their weak foot. Shit players can do anything on their weaker foot if its on a 3 or 4.
