my shih tsu scared the heck out of me. One day I was just relaxing and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw an Ewok. I looked over and my Shih Tsu was sitting up on its butt like a meerkat. Never been trained, he just sits like that all day and gurgles and "talks" and sits around looking like a meercat. He's a weird little dog, I've never seen anything like it. This one kind of reminds me of him, but I never trained him. The Shih Tsu are a strange people...

I lost my original Tsu in a bitter divorce and haven't seen the animal in years, and it bothered me worse than losing my house and marriage. I researched and found a great breeder in rural PA and this dog is incredible. I've had Jack the Shih Tsu for almost two years. He's gold and white and about 10.5 lbs with huge eyes. He's a good talker too so it puts him up there with the Ewoks. I don't look like a small dog guy but Shih Tsu's aren't your average Lab, you'll see. Best breed ever!

Awesome name choices. Wickett is a great name and fits the breed. My first one was Teka. These dogs envoke a sort of organic, island name, so those are some sweet names. When I'm at work I leave on some Grateful Dead for him. And he digs Jane Says, the live version, about an hour before I get home. Yeah I sound crazy but you'll see that these dogs rule. And they're just as cool full grown as they are when they're pups...good luck!

Not easy but her favorite snacks did help. Use ur hands to get her in the "dead" position, and give her the snack. While she's munching, repeatedly say "play dead". Delay her reward a little longer each time... with patience Chewie can do it too :)

Hi. I have a shih tzu too. She's 1 yr and 5 months now. type Shih Tzu -Chewie's glide .Wondering what is she wearing around her neck, eh. It is called an e collarType Type Chewie, after her surgery. My shih tzu went for a hernia operation when she was 6 months old. She's fine now. Suprisingly, they recover very fast.type Chewie is fine
